The Double Ring, A TH8 Design
Hey guys! This is a base thread(I know your ugghhhh on the inside but i think i have a good one).
So here is the basic Farming layout,

Here are the different features
Almost Unlurable Clan Castle
It is basically unlurable from the top and can barely be lure from the bottom, this way it activates my ranged troops in clan castle and they will shoot behind the walls.

The Base has Triangular Splash and Air Defense Placement.
That means that it has the maximum coverage and it all storages are covered by 2-3 splash towers and at least one air defense.

The base is the same on all sides therefore having no "weak" spot as all sides are equally defended.
Segmentation and Anti-Wall Breaker Functions
All junctions are staggered by two blocks allowing a wall breaker to only open one compartment at a time.
All storages are separated and are in different compartments as to minimize loot lost if one inner-compartment is breached.
Double Ring
The base has a 6x6 core and two rings surrounding it. The outer compartment features twelve compartments and the inner ring features four. It takes a minimum of 10 wall-breakers(none are killed) to get to the core from one side.

Trying your trophy layout for a trophy push
I've been to crystal a few trips before as a TH7 and survived pretty well but first time pushing to crystal as a TH8.
I used your double ring farming layout as a new TH8 and was impressed that it worked decently well even without proper walls or defenses yet.
I'm going to try your trophy layout but I noticed a few things. You took a lot of care to layout the triangular mortar/wt/ad for your farming layout but broke from it in your trophy layout. I 'fixed' this to a degree in the one that I'm using. You have gold storage in the middle as a trophy layout but wouldn't something like bk (even though he's stupid and so easy to lure) better in the middle with a trophy base? Double elixir storages on the top right doesn't seem too like a good way to spread your defenses. Was that intentional? I tried to move things around in my own use of your layout but curious if anyone else has tried the trophy version and have other thoughts?
Anyways, I haven't really been attacked seriously yet (only at g3 atm) but it seems to be a really well thought out modernization of Pingfao's design.
