I've been to crystal a few trips before as a TH7 and survived pretty well but first time pushing to crystal as a TH8.
I used your double ring farming layout as a new TH8 and was impressed that it worked decently well even without proper walls or defenses yet.
I'm going to try your trophy layout but I noticed a few things. You took a lot of care to layout the triangular mortar/wt/ad for your farming layout but broke from it in your trophy layout. I 'fixed' this to a degree in the one that I'm using. You have gold storage in the middle as a trophy layout but wouldn't something like bk (even though he's stupid and so easy to lure) better in the middle with a trophy base? Double elixir storages on the top right doesn't seem too like a good way to spread your defenses. Was that intentional? I tried to move things around in my own use of your layout but curious if anyone else has tried the trophy version and have other thoughts?
Anyways, I haven't really been attacked seriously yet (only at g3 atm) but it seems to be a really well thought out modernization of Pingfao's design.
Looking forward to using it :o

Just as lurable as the cc but he wals around:(. Most people attack from the bottom so the BK will kill them fairy easily. What I have been noticing lately is that with compositions such as barcher the BK walks around with my cc wiz and he tanks for wiz:cool:

I think it's an awesome design that combines the pros of trapception and pingfao's tesla themepark. However though, when I saw it, I immediately saw that you could swap the cannon and the archer tower under it on the left, the archer tower and the cannon on the top and the archer tower and the dark elixir drill on the bottom. This will create a pentagon seen in trapception which makes the area overlap, if you click one archer tower/cannon so that you see the area it covers and then click the second one in the ring, you will see what I'm talking about.
I would also like to tell everyone on TH 7 and is going to use this design that you should keep one gold storage on level 1 outside instead of an elixir storage, this is because the most expensive elixir upgrade you can do on th 8 is to upgrade PEKKA to level 3, which costs 6000000 elixir while the most expensive gold upgrades are around 3000000, so by keeping one gold storage outside you can upgrade it when you need, and because it doesn't have so much in it, attackers won't get much gold either. This technique can also be done in TH 9.

However I don't agree on your second post as when you are attacked and lose 1 storage you will lose 100K opposed to 66K
