CoC progress lost after updating to IOS 7

HI my coc name is Shadowstriker8 lvl 49 and th 7 this morning I just finished installing ios 7 and then reinstalled Clash of clans and I know that my progress will be gone so I logged on to game center and it asked me for a new nickname but I already have one then I typed my nickname that I used in ios 6 but says nickname already used by other acc THATS ME the apple ID I used is the same as ios 6 as well HELPPP I DONT WANNA START AGAIN IN A LOW LVL BASE!!!!!

Better chance with Apple than SC for any GC problem.

When you open game center it should have you email address as your account number. Is it the same as you Apple ID? It is possible to use a different email address for you Apple ID, that pays for things, than the GC Apple ID.

So you logged in to GC again, and then created a nickname? This doesn't make sense to me.

it is exactly the same game center acc I had in ios 6 just it told me to create a new nickname

I've read a few threads at Apple with folks having this issue such as this but there are plenty:

As long as you were connected to gamecenter, once you solve your issue with Apple and actually get to log back into your gamecenter, you should get prompted to load your game.

I can't help much with getting re-connected to your gamecenter itself though, as others said, I would try contacting Apple to get you back on your old gamecenter.

I can only say that when I have moved to new devices, I put in my GC account and it has never asked for a new nickname. This does seem like an Apple issue maybe.

the apple site doesn't fix my problem since the posts are only like "I have the same problem too!" and none of those posts HELP!!!!!!!!

Don't bother with their forums, just go to support, chat or email has worked well for me.
