Are these mortars too exposed? Could the enemy easily destroy them? I'm considering making this my base, it's probably pretty bad. Any other feedback is welcome.

They can be destory by Archers. Someone put Giants and behind Archers and your Mortar is gone.
yeah mortars are too exposed, and yeah its pretty bad no offense...

Use a popular base design for TH8 and then after a while, learn how the base handles with different troops and over time you will be able to design bases that are pretty good. Thats what happened to me. One good tip though is get a good core. Clan castle surrounded by walls, or clans castle and a or 2 other buildings as a core. Just experiment\t with stuff. Good Luck.
I understand you were trying to make funnels, but there are just too many. Almost all point defenses can be easily taken out, making any high hp troop pretty much unstoppable.
