Automatic Donation Feature

Hi all,

I've gone through the rolled out ideas and haven't found this one so... let me explain.

It's really common to get into the game and see a couple of troops requests. Ideally, it would be great if you can donate exactly what your clan mate is asking. The problem is usually you don't have the exact troop he/she is requesting.

What about having the possibility to be able to select any troop you want to donate, and if you don't have that troop ready, it will start training it at that moment, it will take exactly the same time as if you were trying it for yourself, but the key point is... when that troop is ready, it's be automatically sent to the requester.

Of course, if another clan mate donate that troop first, then the troop will go to your camp as a normal training.

Any thoughts?

So you want a th3 to donate bowler to th4???. Thats what i understood from your post "Donate troops that you don't have access to yet".

What's the point of upgrading your barracks if you can donate any troops( even if you can't access them at your th lvl??)

Merlo129 did not say to donate anything that is not unlocked yet. I think he meant to allow "out-of-order" training of a troop or spell to be donated, without adding them to the training queue and manually push them forward.

OP, so what if you only have level 1 wizards and your clan mates are asking for maxed level wizards for war and your base keeps donating the level 1 wizard while you are not around? That would annoy anyone and would likely get you kicked out of the clan.

I think what think means is when you see a request, you can train troops without messing up your normal army

I think you missed what OP said

OP wanted to donate troop which he don't have access to it yet.

Of course, if another clan mate donate that troop first, then the troop will go to your camp as a normal training.

And if the request if filled by another player( eg: request for bowler amd you are th4) that trained troop will be sent to your army camp

Did you get what i was saying???

Damn it, it seems my english skills are not that good.

It was never my intention to be able to donate something you haven't unlocked YET. Let me rephrase the idea, trying to clarify a little bit based on the comments above:

If i see a troop request, i would like to be able to select any troop i have already unlocked.

If the troop is already in my camps, it will work as today (will be donated at the moment).

If the troop is not in my camps, it should start training(in the same training queue as any other troop, so you need enough space in your camps to train these, and it will queue with previously training troops as any other troop and it will take the same time as if you were training this troop directly from the barracks), and once finished, automatically sent to the requester unless another user fulfilled the troop request before. In this last scenario, the troop should go directly to my camps (or remain in the queue as ready as it works today if your camps are full and you have some extra toops in your training queue)

Hope it's clearer now. There is no intention to overcomplicate the game with some other training queue, or taking any advantage in doing something you can not today.

This isn't a bad idea...
But I got few thoughts and questions.
1- I'm not alone in my clan. There are many others who would donate as well.
2- when someone requests, Assuming 5 bowlers and 1 Giant. I go ahead and use your idea and click on 5 bowlers and 1 Giant as I currently don't have them ready. What happens if someone comes online and donates troops before mine gets ready?!
3- there is an option called donate now which uses gems. That is an alternative option/idea of what you're saying but, I agree that costs gems.
4- what happens to the resources I've used to donate, but Request got fooled by someone else?

Will be looking for your answers.

So, for point 1 and 3, nothing to say about. I think there are no questions anyway.

Regarding point 2 and 4, the answer is the same:

The troops that start training if you click donate and you don't have them ready are the same as any other troops, with the same time and resource consuming for training.
What happens today if you start training a troop that another user requested, and when you are about to donate it, another user fulfil the request? You basically keep that troop and that's it. Well, it should be the same here. If the request got fooled, you should keep your troop in the same way it works today.

So, basically there is no change at all but only 1, which is:

"If a troop has been sent to train within the donate popup, once the training has finished, the system should automatically try to donate that troop to the request from where the donate popup was opened."

If the troop is not able to de donated (because the request was already fulfilled, or perhaps it was not completely fulfilled but it has no space remaining for the troop you trained, or any other reason i can't remember now), it should go to your camps, or, if you camps are full, remain in the training queue as ready (again, the same as today)

I can get onboard with this provided it only works if you're online, and that these donated troops do not train in parallel with your other troops. I think the rest of the idea, as you've laid it out, would be quite handy

What? No. That's not my point, but just the opposite... in order to donate, today, you need 2 user actions:

1) Train the troop (if necessary)
2) Donate the troop

What i'm suggesting is reducing this to 1 user action:

1) Train the troop (if necessary) and automatically donate the troop when finished (if possible)

but of course that training troop should launch into the same and only training queue you have. Nothing in parallel.

Everyone seems to ant to be lazier at this game, auto-donate troops, auto-resource collection, donation bank....ect.....what next, if you forget to do your war attack, you want a safe gaurd botton that will automatically do your war attack for you last minute if you forget to log on....this games for active players.....ant is supposed to be want*, too lazy to go back and type this whole message over again....lol

A appreciate your thoughts and i think this is a good idea.
However after thinking for a while,
I got one con which might effect revenue of SC.
Higher clans usually use the option gem now to donate troops. or someone should donate within 5 mins.
If this idea of yours goes live.
One can simply click auto donate and get back to clouds.
IF SC thinks they can compromise here. Then i would like to see this Idea implemented in game.

You are right and i agree with you. I just think that, in this particular case, i'm not saying that the "troop requests should automatically be fulfilled by the leader if nobody fulfilled it in 5 hs". And again, this is not that you "forgot to log in to donate", it's because you need to log in really often if you would like to fulfil the troop requests as fast as possible with the exact troop it was requested.

So, it happened to me a lot of times that i logged in and there are 5 different troop requests for example. Just guess that you at least will need to login 5 more times to fulfil them AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

Good point. Yep, definitely it will impact on their revenue because with this functionality, there will be less "Donate now"

I do not know how active your clan is in order to justify a feature like this. In my clan, troop requests gets filled immediately during war. During prep-day DE troops and high value troops do not get filled right away because not a lot of people use them for farming. However, the delay is not too bad. It usually takes 5 minutes to cook a dragon, hound or golem and while that is cooking people would go look for a base to hit.

I do not think that your idea is bad, I just do not think that it will add more to the game play. Perhaps this is a good idea for less active clans. If that is the case then I think that waiting an hour or more for your troop request to be filled is expected and acceptable.

Well, in wars it will be really helpful. As you said, we are not that ACTIVE CLAN. Most of us are working people can not frequently access the game during working hours. That's why, for this kind of situations, it will be EXTREMELY helpful if i can donate 2 golems and 3 lava dogs if i can full those 5 troop requests with a single login (without having the troops ready... but putting them into training and automatically donated when finished)

I give this a thumbs up. He is talking about saving you from having to log back in later to give the troop you started for the guy.

How many times has this happened to any of us...you are running from the cops. You get yourself hidden behind a parked car and lay low. While you are waiting you log in and see a clanmate needs a certain troop. So you start it making. While you are waiting for it the cops figure out where you are so you start running again. Now the chase gets really intense and you really dont have time to log back in and give the troop. Or they catch you and have you on the ground and even though you try telling them you need a minute to give the troop they wont listen to you.

Anyhow, all that would be solved if it would just auto donate. Plus maybe the clanmate you helped will now feel inclined to come bail you out. Its a good idea and I hope they add it.

I'm quite surprised i'm the only one in this forum suffering this. Definitely we will need to get more active people into our clan... But again, i think this idea my be considered.

Would be nice to see some reply from SC. (Sorry if any of you how already reply in this thread is from SC, i didn't realize)

i support your idea but I am not holding breath for SC direct response. That does not happen much. Just sometimes you see a change that may or may not have been inspired by reading a post. And they stay out of trouble pretty much so they might not get the thing about the cops.
