So I'm about 1 month into TH8. All my new stuff is at least caught to my TH7 defenses.
BK is lvl 10
ALL walls lvl8
1x lvl6 motar - rest lvl5
1x lvl4 tesla - rest lvl3
1x lvl9 cannon - rest lvl 8
lvl5 AD
lvl8 AT
lvl4 WT
I average around 5-6 mil gold a day, so I'll be sitting with full storage for a while between upgrades.
So should I stay at TH8, max everything & just raid less OR jump to TH9 so I can get a jump on my new walls with my surplus loot?
Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?

I was in similar situation. Had maxed walls for months. Decided to stay at TH8 and farm DE.
I have now maxed all DE troops and only drags and heal spell left from regular troops. It will give you a jump start when you get to TH9.
And, you have plenty of defensive upgrades to do anyway. Just take a break, take it easy, donate troops to clan mates etc.

max everything. u got ur BK, and walls the 2 biggies. just max all ur elixir troops n ur base upgrades n ur good to go. only thing u don't have to max is DE troops that u DONT use
The loot in at th8 is much better than at th9.
So upgrade everything and you should be good to go!

I'd be amazed if your troops are well upgraded yet... you don't want to be TH9, with crummy troops, have a think about your troops and the question becomes much easier to answer; in particular, look at the upgrade times and costs for level 6 troops, army camp upgrades, etc...
Nah, be patient. Nice on the walls though, very impressive.
I think if anyone ever needs to ask the question, am I ready to upgrade my TH the anwser is always no. If it was yes you wouldn't need to ask.
I do feel you I desperately want to go to TH9 to get the archer queen (and get BK to L30) but have to keep telling myself if I don't max out now it will take a very long time to catch up later on top of all the new upgrades at TH9
Well. I think I might Upgrade my TH to TH9 but play like I'm still TH8 by not buying any of the new toys/upgrades, well maybe the AQ :) until all my existing stuff is max TH8 level.
So basically continue maxing all my stuff to TH8 level before buying any new TH9 stuff. ( Besides walls & AQ )
I can farm 5-6 Mil. per day @ TH8 & even if the loot penalty cuts that in 1/2. I should still do pretty well & get a jump on lvl 9/10 walls.
I mean I think the biggest downside to TH9 is the loot penalty & the cost of lvl8 walls. Most people stay after their upgrades to farm/grind walls. Since all my walls are maxed I can't see any downside to my plan to play TH9 as TH8 till maxed TH8 lvl defenses.
Unless I'm missing/forgetting something?
