whats the point of archers

its like you drop them down then a mortar kills them or shots from on a purple tower thing and they die like whats the point of them theyre shots do no damage and then they die. and also goblins only attack walls but the description says they attack resources? like come on this game doesn't work troops die and then I get -3% damage like really. and also someone attacked me with this flying troop like how do you get that. it killed everything why don't I get one this game isnt fair. so anyways fix the archer its not fair.

All in seriousness though let me explain some concepts in the game:

The archer is good for shooting over walls, but weak against mortars. You generally wanna spread them out to minimize the splash damage of mortars.


The goblins attack resources, but the most general reason why they are attacking walls is because in order to get to the resources they must destroy the wall to enter

You can get flying troops from your clan or when you get to TH7= Dragons and minions. You can get a healer (flying troop) in TH6, but it doesn't attack, but heal


TH means Townhall for short.

I tried spreading archers but then they killed nothing and goblins ran around and then everything died like no fair these golden things killed everything and like its not fair because I have 1700 trophies and then I lose 356192 and then my crystal thingy goes away not fair.

You got to 1700 and don't seem to know what a cannon is? I SENSE A TROLL.

You're obviously trolling but archers are a lot better on defense then offense but I still use them on offense.
