The scrolls (expansion permits) have disappeared COMPLETELY- AGAIN. Please don't copy/paste the standard 'random' reply as several of my neighbourhood friends are experiencing the same problem.
It's now over two weeks since I last saw a scroll - not even as a Derby horseshoe prize and again this week once again - ZERO scrolls.
Whoever is dictating the game's play strategy has clearly a vindictive nature. Frisco even had to reply in a forum post turned 'Supercell do you hate us' about the constant stalling/delaying/enforced waiting/conditions that are we presume to provide 'ongoing interest' but are in fact causing frustration. Three of our group have stopped playing over the past couple of months because of this.
Scrolls don't exist
Puzzle pieces are distributed to ensure it seems no animal is completed first
Town expansion isn't allowed even when we have all required items until we are at next level
Barns are stuffed holding land expansion items nobody can use because NO SCROLLS

I was originally okay with the permits situation, but it took me five months to collect them all. And I'm an avid player. The frustration level was high and the situation got worse with the addition of the ridiculous puzzle pieces....

Holy way to alienate your customer base Batman!

Puzzles and permits => this is really frustrating and doesn't hold interest, because we can't do anything to get more.

Town expansion => I can do something: serve visitors to reach a new level.

I haven't collected land expansion tools until I had enough permits.

How can they possibly help from that message? It's just a rant. Now, whilst I think they're generally a bunch of incompetents, I don't think ranting at them is on. It's not their fault they're selected to do a job that's either beyond them or they're not trained for, in what appears not to be their first language. If you want to rant, do it in the Bugs section to Frisco or Nick, who *do* have some control over these things, or can at least pass it on to those who do.

As for Permits.

Permits haven't disappeared, I finally got my last one a few days ago (having spent too many diamonds on the wheel of (mis)fortune when one was on there & to spin the Derby prizes - because, I too, am impatient!) . They're in the Derby columns 4 & 7, you just need to be prepared to shuffle for them, or wait.

If your barn is too small to hold roughly 90 LEM then don't, hold fewer, until you only have one or two scrolls left to get then get the rest.

It really does pay not to get so stressed by these things. It is just a game and within that game getting the Permits doesn't really do anything, except give you a little more land & some Deco, it doesn't affect your game play.

Expansion permits have disappeared for me as well. I haven't seen any for two weeks despite completing two derbies in the champions league and playing as much as usual. I used to see at least 2 a week and now none in the derby or on the wheel. Super unfair and frustrating!

Expansion permits have disappeared for me too. I play many hours throughout the day, and I have kept track, it has been over a month since I got a permit.

I can understand making them rare, but it's a bit over done in my opinion.

I spent a lot (!!) of diamonds to get all permits by opening each and every red box. Done. But I do hear from other farmers that the permits seem to be extremely hard to come by.
I am not spending money on the puzzle pieces, I don't see a return value in them. The zoo animals are cute but don't give much back. I do surf other farms and check on their zoo animals and sadly, almost all of them look abandoned. I am curious if SC has something in mind for the zoo.

I think it is great to have enthusiastic players who care about achieving successes in Hay Day; not getting permits or puzzle pieces, if that is important to a player, is frustrating, especially if if it feels random and/or futile. To me, the game was most fun back when the mechanics of it was important to me.

I hope the drop rate will increase for these items for those who do not pay diamonds to get them faster so that the game does not become annoying to newer players whose enthusiasm I find an inspiration.

I have gotten one out of a red chest (I only open the ones that do not require diamonds to open) like two days ago or so.

I got one today - first one in a long time. Pleasure of receiving it is in proportion to time I had to wait to get it

The irony... I have 2 permits sitting in my current derby, and found one last night in a box. I have more than 20 now, and don't plan to open the lower farm area, ever.

Expanding and decorating my farm is what I enjoy the most about hay day, everyone has their own favourites I'm sure. I spent all my diamonds on opening red boxes and no sign of a permit on the derby board again this week...sigh...

I just got 2 scrolls last derby. Before that I found a ton in those chest on farm and in water.

I found all of mine and it was at a pace that caused no frustration or anger. I didn't spend diamonds on red boxes and only had to shuffle derby rewards a few times. They will come, just be patient.

I am one of the few who never needed the land... Either kind, but I have been opening them as I have LEMs to dump.

i am not using any of it, leaving it au naturel. Only 2 left to open, 20 more permits, so I must have found a few along the way :blush:

i finished the deco land expansion 2 or 3 weeks ago. i never spent diamonds to open red boxes, but i did re-shuffle derby prizes a few times (not just for scrolls though)...

i decided when the scrolls were introduced to just let them come when they come, and not stress about it. there are plenty o others things that frustrate me about the game sometimes, so i decided to not let this be another. i've taken the same approach with puzzle pieces. i didn't really care about the deco (or other) land, and don't about the sanctuary. makes for less stress.

if it does really bother you so much, and are complaining about not seeing them in derby prizes, them maybe you ought to just suck it up and reshuffle when you're not happy. you should get anough free diamonds from mining, red boxes, etc. to do that every once in a while.

Me either not seen permits for weeks. I don't remember when I got last permits in derby horseshoe. I need 30 permits more to open all lands. But, I can't get mallets too, so when I am in game I just ignore new land, pretending that not exist at all.

i got 4 free diamonds from my last mine task (with shovels), and found 5 diamonds in a red box both this week and last. further, the 10 diamonds for last level up and 5 for first level threshold of the new level both this past week, plus the 5 diamonds for the last boat event. seems like enough free diamonds to shuffle once a week if you're not happy with derby rewards.

This game seems to be completely random. Some get scrolls and lems on a regular basis and others not. My last two derbies there was not one scroll and I refuse to pay real money on a game so I only open free red boxes. I got one a few weeks ago and have one in this weeks derby. I can understand your frustration. I have noticed that the drop rate of lems has increased slightly in the past few months. I don't care much for new sanctuary and it seems I have three animals going at once. There are a lot of problems with the game and a lot I'm not happy with. It has changed so much over the years, it used to be fun, now not so much. I only keep playing because of the friends I've made.
What I don't like is in my horseshoe rewards every week column 3 and 7 are always boosters. I hate them and the only ones I use are boat boxes and free Tom.
The game has become more about getting us to spend money and that bothers me.

Red boxes are, of course, random.

Nowadays I take a screenshot whenever I receive something "interesting" in a red box or treasure chest. I can see from the screenshots that I have received diamonds from a red box 5 times in the last month. I never use diamonds to open boxes or chests.

I have 2 scrolls in horseshoes and found one this morning in a red box, the first for a while. I have 3 plots so land still to open but am not in a hurry as I don't need it at present. I have been getting �������� in boxes once or twice a week and also got some as a threshold prize yesterday.

Edit: I have received diamonds from red mystery boxes on two consecutive days now and have some in the last horshoe.
