Our fifth war looks pretty even once again, with no major engineering to gripe about. The war search was unusually long this time - I stopped it after 30 minutes and the second search found a match after about 25 minutes. All of our others have been nice and quick in the 10-15 minute range. The enemy clan gets nearly max stars in most of their wars, so it should be a tough war.
Have experienced a truly mixed bag with the matchmaker since the update. In our current war we are facing 4 Wardens to our 0. 20v20, with mostly TH10s, 9.5s, and 9s for the line up. Opponent put some TH3s at the bottom to compensate, and did some extreme engineering with their TH11s. Very frustrating.
Yeah, I think these are the 2 areas that need the most attention for the next iteration of matchmaking: GW weight (significant increase) and roster engineering.Quote:

over half their clan was defenseless at first glance. most of those had built max teslas for their level upon attack though..
first time i can remember us getting outmatched offensive wise. they had way more 11's.
problem is... we had 4 bases over 100k, they had 2
predictable result since 3* on decent 105k bases is pretty dang hard... everything else got 3*, win for us by 2
all that offense backfired on em if it cant pull off the miracles at the top!
i take particular guilty pleasure in the following though..
they had 3 purchased max 11 offense / defenseless'ish bases (dark farmed <200K, easy to spot em)
SC says thanks for the loot, but no win this time.

i like the new MM just as the old.
Yes every war. Wars are even closer now with the new mm.
I'm glad that some clans are having a good experience with the new MM system. But when the thread has been up for 5 days and less than 100 people respond that have had good experiences. To the several hundred to over 1000 in a matter of just a fee days that have had bad experiences i think that puts y'all in the minority. And may very well comes down to what your lineups are.
I choose to focus on what i can control. My line up is one of them. The mm isnt.Quote:

You have to understand how people think, if they feel disadvantaged in anyway, they will complain about a bad match. Also adding to the bad match data pool, are extreme engineering clans that now have really long searches to try to find a similar clan. Then there are those that had some success at engineering, but were only copying and had no idea what they were doing that are now matching real engineers and getting "out engineered". There are also those engineer clans that had easy mode wars, that are now matching tougher rosters and are loosing cause they got squishy hitting soft targets. I think you will find the first category to be the majority.
We've done 3 perfect wars since the change. 2 out of the last 3 and a potential for 1 more this war. I can't recall the last time we had a perfect war, maybe 2 years ago. Leave it like it is.
