Yeah, he sounds like a pest, one of the "joys" of an open clan I guess...
I ran a lot of flying armies as TH8 recently, and yeah, I would't bother attacking a TH9 base like that. A GoWipe might possibly work, as his tessla are pretty weak, but that base layout would need a solid plan and good execution... I'm guessing you'd want to come it from the corner where the DE is and make sure you clear the edges so the pekka get to the core. But you'd get trophies, not loot.
But you'll just encourage him, if you retaliate - I think you've done everything you need to already. Hope you sent him a nice goodbye message as you kicked him.
