How to discourage DE Lightning.

Everyone complains about this and it does get annoying but I always say, "Don't get mad, get even and then some."

First, tell your clan you'll be leaving for a few minutes and assure them you'll be back.
Go to the person's clan the lightnigned out your DE.
Show the replay of them doing it and include their name. "Thanks a lot to your clan member 'namehere'" Especially do this if they don't leave a shield.
Fill every current request with goblins and wallbreakers-primarily the person that attacked you if possible.
Explain that's what happens when you lightning DE and that you will be venging their base for 100%
Leave and return to your clan (helpful to have your clan set to invite to avoid the other members coming back and doing the same to your clan--Hey! Clan wars! :rolleyes:)

Interesting idea.

Why not also take the opportunity to 100% your new clan mate and then share that replay too with a nice message! ;)

Also lightning rods have been presented a a building to deture this.. but your idea is way cooler

Ya I thought of that too but I figured you'd only be able to get in once because the second time you get in you'll be kicked out really fast so you can either show proof that they lightninged your de (thus discouraging it) or embarrass the person (and somewhat discourage it but you don't have proof they did)

Yep, if Supercell ever allow gemming of replays, instead of waiting 30 mins, this would probably be the only time for me :)

Yeah, I agree. I don't really see the point. In fact, I often recommend the strategy to my lower TH peeps after some advanced TH10, floating around 1500 cups, just ravaged their base for 120/120.

- If you are annoyed, zap DE and share video
- If you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥, zap DE, lure out BK and QE and put them to sleep for an hour and a half (and share video)
- If you are dedicated and ♥♥♥♥♥♥, track sleeping patterns get pumps, put BK and QE to sleep, AND zap DE (and share video)

Would absolutely loooooooooooove for the zapped to now join our clan looking for a box of tissues. We would have a field day.

(And yes, Im a TH10)

dumb idea... not only you lost your DE, your joining there clan to be laughed at and then supplying them with troops.. in which they keep accepting your rubbish troops and dumping them in the goblin challenges, in turn making yourself double the idiot... and lastly which may happen, your original clan won't let you back in the clan because your too much of an embarassment :)

Why not use their clan members troops to revenge them as well? :D

It's not about losing 1k DE, it's about losing it because of lightning and no shield. If someone 100% my base, good for them, they worked and earned the DE they won.

Yes, because elixir is very hard to come by these days especially for those expensive goblins and wallbreakers :rolleyes:
And by making them dump them, they have to wait another 20 minutes to request anyways, so they won't have a full castle which can miff some people. LOL my clan won't let me back in? Glad you think that:D

Pissing off the people who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ u off is simple. Revenge with whatever is fitting according to the loot or kill CC, kill heroes and take mines and drills without giving a shield. No need to go crying to another clan just to make a fool of yourself. Usually they are really bad TH7s/8s and can be 3 starred with barch so I just do that even if they have no loot.

It doesn't matter what your motive is. My point is that if you're trying to get back at them, I think you're going about it the wrong way because you're just going to give them 20 minutes of entertainment.

I wouldn't waste my time: I'd rather look for the next haul & make back more than I lost.

Getting zapped is just the price you pay for having a decent base & accumulating DE.

Getting zapped by a th of the same level is a different matter. That deserves a revenge, but the zapping is normally a revenge anyway, so back to my initial response - farm more than you lose.
