I was soooo relieved to see the ridiculous summer outfits the animals had to wear disappear, now I've turned on Hay Day to be greeted with even worse ones!!! Can't these things just be optional? :mad:
P.S. I know it's just for fun, but I still don't have to like it, and I don't celebrate Halloween either. Other than that, I love Hay Day!

It's only a game guys :( and a pretty amazing game at that :o SC can't make everyone happy all of the time.
I'm sorry if some people hate the theme, but many of us love it and it's nice to have a change now and then. I do definitely agree it would be good if you could opt out of the dressed up animals for the more traditional farmers though, then we might all be happy:rolleyes:

I love the costumes! Let's see, they are play animals that barely resemble the real thing, now we put them in play costumes for seasons?! Love it. I wish they included the little people too, I get tired of them coming in the same outfits every time.
I think they're so cute with clothes.. The theme is awesome .. New look makes things more interesting and fun ..

You either like them, or loathe them...!!! Those animals in fancy dress I mean. I personally am the latter, but I know they are popular amongst a lot of you for whatever reasons you choose, but one of the reasons that attracted me to this game was the great animal animations in their original form.
Don't want to waffle on here too much, but I mentioned in passing on another thread that dressing up the little people would be more appropriate, and a couple of replies agreed that it would make more sense...
Before you all jump down my throat, I know it's only a game, and some of you think the animals look all cutesy and nicey-nicey, but come on, they are a bit gross...!! Surely Mary Poppins would look good as a witch, and Greg as a Count Dracular would be great...

I reckon the little people have been modelled on the supercell staff and they don't want us to see them in Halloween costumes! Hence the animals have had the costumes instead, at least our pets have been spared!

I vote for leave the animals alone and mess with the little people. They bother us enough. Put some itchy, awkward costumes on them. Maybe they won't beg for my popcorn all the time then.
I think a good compromise would be an option in the settings to allow people to toggle the holiday decor, but I imagine that's really easy in theory and very difficult in practice.

My chickens are next to the cows, so every time I try to collect eggs there is the cow with the big hat blocking my chicken. I always have to collect milk so that witch cow can move for me to collect my eggs. :p
I do seem to prefer them au natural. But it does not bother me that they are all dressed up.

As a retired programmer I can assure you that it is actually incredibly easy. Half hour, tops. Your basic un-themed farm and naked animals are all still right there just being modified by a temporary subroutine. Toggle to bypass that sub and *poof* basic farm back just like that. Love the theme, love the animal costumes. I'm a Christian, and I think Halloween is fun. I started playing Hay Day when the animals were in summer attire and didn't much care for it when they went back to their naked forms, especially the pigs which are rather nasty fat, wriggling pink blobs when they're full and need to be smoked. I LOVE the costumes! Would be fun to see the little people in costumes as well. Love the Halloween decorations in the fishing areas as well, and the bats on the birdhouses are a scream! Thanks Hay Day for adding some seasonal interest. Can't wait to see what you do for Christmas!
Theme is kinda cute, but an on/off button is an ideal option. I personally don't mind the costumes because I think they are rather creative. But it would be nice to have days when you can have your animals in their natural state..lol. I have missed Halloween theme and Christmas theme last year so this is really amusing. We don't celebrate this but I still adore themes because they make our lives more colorful and refreshing.
Honestly we can either like it or not . I at first liked the summer 2013 theme and thought it was cool, but now it's out of control. There is ALWAYS a theme and lousy music. It's getting old. We never see the animals in their natural realistic state, the awesome graphics are one thing that made hay day so successful. And the Halloween and Christmas themes might offend some people . Supercell spends so much time with themes ! They fix stuff that's not broken. What we really need is a diamond confirmation button ! I have wasted so many diamonds on stuff like wheat speed up! And it's also jan 6! Christmas is over supercell.:rolleyes: Also the clothes on the animals is starting to give me a headache! Will the farm ever look normal again or is there a theme for everything now? The original natural farm was the true" summer theme"!
