I would love to be able to turn all decorations in any direction also it would be sweet if they could touch, probably asking for too much there lol... but why can't they turn/face in any direction?

I did not see the Q and A, but think, if not everything could swivel 360, it would at least be nice to have a bench that faces the river.
Cami said they don't design the back view of the deco so it would mean they'd have to start doing that and redesign the existing deco. She didn't sound keen!
Previously though during one of the 'Ask me anything' sessions, there was another technical reason stated, but I'm struggling to remember what it was. Annoyingly it seemed reasonable.
What they would have to do is design two different benches--the one we have which rotates 90 degrees giving us two directions, the other that would offer the "back" view that gives us the other two directions. I would be more than willing to buy "front" benches and "back" benches. I agree that it is really sad that we can't sit and look at the river.
Indeed, I believe it has only been the benches I have yearned to turn for eons  since the town opened, at least
maybe we can put it on the next developers q and a... Just the benches?
It's just a matter of space. If there are two graphic files for every object (left and right), then giving them a "back view" doubles that need, and suddenly your app is taking up twice as much space on your smartphone.
This will unfortunately probably never happen as it would require 2x artwork for everything = 2x memory usage. It would be nice, don't get me wrong, but it's not feasible or doable due to the reasons I explained. Currently the objects are drawn from one side, and then players can flip it.
The placement of the objects is based on a grid, and thus can't be placed on top of each other.
I hope this helps! :)
Cheers,
Nick
