Something I noticed tonight about BOTS that "buy," and can anyone explain this to me

I'm actually trying to understand all of this more. I didn't even know what a bot was 8 days ago. I remember someone I've FB messaged before saying she has bought BEM from someone in China, and I remember thinking how seriously she takes upgrading. I had no idea those items could've been taken from a farm using a program. Friends and I take turns helping each other, and at this point, I've stopped completely and am just helping others. And as I've said before, I usually give extras during trades as well.

sorry I sound annoyed, but if hay day wanted all goods available to strangers, than advertising would be mandatory. But I'm pretty sure trading, collaboration, and sharing are big goals - and everyone gets lopsided tool drops.

Exactly. And actually, I might argue that bots actually are people. Or at least that there is a real person with a real farm running a bot script on that real farm.

Whether it's a person running a bem-buying script or whether it's a person using a hack or exploit to get to your farm and keeping their farm open on yours for weeks on end to near-instantly pounce on everything you put up, to my mind it's the same abusive behaviour. Regardless, it's a real person at the other end deliberately using hacks, scripts, and cheats against sc tos.

There are ways that Supercell could potentially address this if they wanted to. I suggested one way several months back on this thread: https://forum.supercell.com/showthre...d-Trolls/page3. I'll paste part of the idea here again for discussion.

That would be an amazing feature. And it would cure so much. We could help, contribute, play without the worry of attracting someone who's exploiting the game unfairly.

Hi what is the length of time I will be on another player helper list. Is it still 2 weeks?

I have been facing a very frustrating issue of 'someone' stealing my trades. It seems that I have help someone and this person keep coming in to grab my stuff that is meant for my friend. It had been a week now. So just wanna know if it's a real player or a Bot.

Any counter measures will also be helpful.

In the "Input Requested" thread, someone suggested having an RSS in your town, so only your hoodies could visit it and buy from it. I think that's a great idea and might help solve both of these problems -- the one of bot buyers and the one of strangers hovering at your farm and interrupting agreed-upon trades.

Last helper tab tab has been reduced to 72 hours.

If the farm is someone who clearly admires Greek mythology characters, chances are it's really a buyer bot. That's the one that had been circulating lately. Before that it was a host of short animal names. Can't name them here, but if it's that one, you should screen capture and send to support.

Dear all thanks for all the advice. It seems that I have indeed been infected by a buyer BOT. Yep Eddie ur spot on its a Greek mythology character. M now trying to take a screenshot. But it seems to stop buying at this time. Will try out tomorrow again.

Is it actually an infection on your device (what type, android or Apple?), or is it something running on another device - say a PC - that is pretending to be a legit device running hay day that's polling many other players RSS?

Just curious, if its running on our own device - we should be able to flush it out someway.

In my case, I don't think it's an infection on my device. I play on Apple devices btw.

I think the bolded scenario is more likely. It can be a PC or a jail broken mobile device.

I play it on Apple Ipad.

There are different ways a player can visit your farm and help you progress in the game.

* The player is in your friends list (either you added him via Game Center or Facebook, or you followed his/her farm).
* The player is in your followers list (he/she started following your farm).
* The player found one of your ads in the Daily Dirt (and tried to purchase the advertised item).
* The player found you in his/her "Last Helpers" list (because you helped him/her out with his/her boat or trees or bushes).
* The player found you in the Global Leadearboard.
* The player found you in the Event Leaderboard as a contributor.

However, I really appreciate your efforts in cooperating us to remove such accounts. Our experts can manually home in on the farms that you have sent us.

Definitely not the first 3 options as I have check. I thou it's the fourth one. But interestingly it's past a week and it's able to buy my stuff and Last Helpers list last 3 days as I have know lately.

Don't think it's the fifth or sixth as I am quite far off.

Have been trying to take a screenshot but it stop today. I have try on some suggestions and selling bit by bit at a random price. Wait for around 10 seconds and it's still there.
