No war match ups!!!,

I have been all over the forum threads and some people seem happy and some not. We have continually adjusted our game strategy to have a chance on winning some wars. We finally got ahead of the game when again a new update and a new stab in our back. This one is more painful because we can't even get a war match up. Oh, we tried..4 x every three hours..searching and researching..again and again, and then finally over night. We are just a 15-20 man war clan..no big challenge. I think clans like ours are now collateral damage for what seems a good riddance to us from SC. Personally been playing since the game started....so where is the loyalty there?

Not really sure what you are saying are you a engineered clan ? As u mention being stabbed in tbe back? And getting ahead of the game? It does seem strange tbat you cant get a war search done what does your 15 to 20 warbases compose of? Are they all high lev or .5 or engineered just asking so i can better understand your situation

post your base line up of your 15 bases, from 1 through to 15, maybe we can help you further then?

we are a dragon/lavaloon attacks clan. Since the update we haven't been able to get a matchup. A year ago we kept getting bad war match ups. Either the opp was over whelming strong and wiped us, or we got a draw. So we started doing what everyone who was beating us did. Two strong top players and the bottom middle to weak. We did as the romans do....now...nothing after all that time and dedication. Very sad.

It seems that the match maker will continue to search, until it finds an opponent that is more "like your clan".

Now, if you really want to go to war .. stop that TH3 nonsense at the bottom, and maybe scale back on the "engineered" part too..

There are a lot of clans that did the same thing to survive. Lower the WW, etc. we are not a super powerful elite clan..we war for fun and enjoy our social plannings and strategy. We were doing fine before the update. We shouldn't have to change...it isn't fair.

Are you saying that it is not fair that you cannot find a favourable matchup that would otherwise be unfair for the opponent?

Ur over engineered thats the problem, (we are enginnered too 4-5 accounts)

With you throwing the th3s at bottom your lowering your chances because not only they need to find enginnered clan but also a roster engineered clan (low bottom)

Start search without the th3 or find some th7-9 to even clan out and you will be fine

This ^. OP I hope you stay in the queue until a match can be found with a clan comparable to your own in both offence and defence strength, as that would be a fair match. It's in your hands really, if you run a very odd lineup then it will take a good while to find something as imbalanced as yours to match you with. I don't believe clans like yours are "collateral damage" at all, but rather the very ones where SC is targeting the most work to stop excess advantage over others. Plenty of people have played since the beginning, the "loyalty" is in SC's efforts to bring it about that everyone has fair wars.

Remove the TH3 accounts. It is not like those accounts are held by real people that need loot. TH3 is an extremely fast TH level so they almost certainly are sitting around at full loot doing nothing all day. There is no need to keep them in your roster except to give war matchups in your favor which, as you can see, is no longer happening. Remove those useless accounts and try searching again.

If you understood what it took to get to the level we did and the work it took to be competitive, you wouldn't be so quick to judge. It is the different style of play we were forced into, along with many others and we weren't the first of them..we reacted, we tried to survive. Now many of us don't have the will to continue and change yet again. There will always be those that want to beat the system..and we ended up being a biproduct of those clans. I wish you all continued clashing fun..but for us..we have come to the end of the road.

I think alot of people here understand what it takes to make a high level clan thats competitive....

Likewise lots have engineered clans and roster engineered.
You just need to do less because theres alot less clans that do both

Funny, I run a 106/30 w/l clan. We don't require a third of our lineup to be filler, and we routinely beat engineered and maxer clans alike. We also have our share of losses from these clans, but that's expected. Trying to claim you were forced into this isn't going to buy you any sympathy, when, by your own admission you're primarily a dragloon clan. Learn better attacks, drop the filler, enjoy wars again and clash on

OP you don't need to engineer or manipulate your roster to win. We have no eng bases, run TH9-10 in war and can survive.

I suspect your competitive advantage might lie in those TH3s OP. Are you sure there isnt another reason you use those accounts?

It can't have taken much work to develop those 5 TH3 at the bottom.

You have to accept you are heavily engineered and that you are then trying to further that advantage by 'roster engineering' as well.
Drop the 5 TH3s and try your search again.

Other than that, if you still want to call it quits then that's up to you, but there is no point in moaning if you won't at least try the advice you are being given. Your war lineup is just too extreme to find an even match.

OP - from reading your original note, it seems you didn't want to be engineered, but you felt forced into this by the way people were playing. I suspect many others felt the same way, and didn't like having to engineer.

It now seems that Supercell is trying very hard to stop engineering, to make the game better for the long term - so you shouldn't need to engineer your bases any more. Do you not feel that this would be for the best, in the long term?

Personally, I'm in a clan that has indulged in 'mild engineering' - max each town hall, then go .5 for the next town hall (nearly all of us don't build the new defences until you have built up your offence) - and I think clans like mine are getting hit very hard. Being mildly engineered, we are getting matched with major engineering clans, which is making it quite tough for war. We're going to try leaving out the couple of engineered bases we have, to see if we get a better match up for the next war.

Either way, good luck to you, and remember it is a game to be enjoyed, not endured!

Haha... You can't find an easy matchup and came the forum to complain? If you have 5 TH3 then you can get rid of them an still have plenty members to war, those tricky TH3 are the culprit you can't find a match.

What does this part mean, about 4 times every three hours? Does that mean you start searching and then stop it, over-and-over, every 45 minutes? If that's the case, that's where you problem lies. If you're canceling the search after just 45 minutes, that doesn't mean you're not getting a match at all. It only means you're not getting a match in under 45 minutes. Once you declare, just let the search run.

If you have an extreme offence to defence ratio, which you may have, their will be few clans to match under the new system. The only 2 options are terrible mismatches or very long searches, which would you prefer?

hes worried that the losening search parameters (If that still applies) will lead to severe mismatches, which i think is a concern If you are struggling to find a match. More non engineered mismatch or longer search times are an unavoidable side effect of the new marchmaker.

OP, you weren't forced to go that extreme and you are learning right now that not that many clans are so extreme. You describe it as though everyone else is doing it, but they aren't, which is why you are having trouble finding a match. Drop those th3s that do nothing other than try to create a roster advantage and try a new search with two real accounts in their place. Let it run rather than restarting it over and over. If that doesn't work, drop some defenses so you aren't so unique, then you will have an easier time finding a match. You just aren't going to get much sympathy here for your time wasted searching and understandably so, given for the last year you have been wasting the time of opponents who matched you and had no chance to win.

My slightly engineered clan always matches under 1 hour search time, usually averaging around 30 mins. The fact that you aren't matching after long search times indicates you are extremely engineered and the MM is having trouble finding another clan that looks like you. It doesn't take extreme engineering to be competitive at all. My clan mostly does X.5 engineering and we are at 227 W and 50 L.

Like everyone's saying, your lineup must be tough to match under the new MM. Try dropping the th3s first, see if you get decent matches. You might be fine then, or you might find that your method of engineering has gone out of style and need to make changes.

But first drop the th3s. Must say I'm glad to see this, was under the impression there was zero MM change to affect roster engineering. Whatever it is it probably isn't enough, only affecting a clan with 1/3 of the roster being ringers. Perhaps it ratcheted up.

That's exactly what he's saying. All those trash accounts are now giving them trouble instead of others.

As many of the engineers love to say, adapt, anyone can do it.

In this instance it would actually be true as all he would have to do for starters is bring those silly little 3's up to a proper war level. TH5 perhaps.

If that isn't enough do the unthinkable and drop some proper defense on 1 or 2 of those 9's.
