i dont know if they need to remove it. I think giving it a cooldown timer like they gave to elders kicking would help solve the problem. If you only had mute then if someone spams everyone new would have to mute him. One report ends that.

Yes, we have a mute button now, just mute whoevers messages you don't want to read

well, keeping it sure wont help anyone. its obvious too many that this button is only used by misbehaving players. muting whoever spams is easy as pie, new players wont have a hard time figuring out how to haul someone out their global chat really.

Just report everyone you see, and when everyone is banned, SC might do something about it...it's not something that affects 'them' right now, so they won't change it for 'us'.

Great comment! I'd send this to SuperCell. It really is a better punishment. Kids are like "doctor muted me. ask him why he (I'm really a she, yet they always insite I am lyiing -_-)muted me" when I just stopped responding or went raiding. And they freak out. Best punishment possible. Report does nothing except interfer with high level players who are on it throughout the day. We're bound to get reported for the stupidest reasons if on for a few hours a day.

Voted yes as it brimgs negative results but does not really do that much good. If someone if being a jerk you can always mute him, but does not stops those jerks reporting other people for no good reason. Guess everyone has seen the "ban X" campaigns on global also.

The only reasons ppl will say no to this is...
they don't use global
or they are a 10 yo troll that just likes reporting ppl for fun instead of playing the game.

i have been banned many times for saying "anyone looking for a clan". Someone says my clan is sh!t, for no reason, just kids being tough now a days with their keyboards. Then everyone other kid agrees even though im full with no one under lvl 60 lol but then they all group up and ban you, mean while i have said "mute".

There is restrictions on what you can type on global (even though everyone knows how to get round it)
And you have "mute"
there is no need to have report at all. It is the one thing that will stop me playing this game, as i am always trying to recruit better player as ppl leave my clan and being reported once a week is annoying,
I heard it takes 6 ppl to report you to be banned? Make it at least 10-20 even, then you know if you got banned you deserved it, and its just not a bunch of kids teaming up on others

i feel you dude, report has been widly abused and isnt even used the correct way anymore (i dont think it was ever used correctly actually). mute wont hurt anyone and you would be able to actually type on global for once without being shut out by some dorks. :rolleyes:

the people who say no to this poll may just be those who like to report or dont talk on global much, but i wont judge anyone or make false conclusions. either way, the polls and posts on here give great explanations on why the report button should be removed. keep it up everyone, we are almost to 100.
