Are there any machines you haven't bought because you don't want them?
i haven't bought the hat maker, specifically because i wanted the machines that came later first - after i get the taco kitchen and tea stand, i'll probably buy it then. hats are easy enough to come by and they don't come up too often in requests.
i only ever bought the first dog / dog house. it bugs me when there are animals running all around a farm, so though i realize it is to my detriment (in terms of less gifts), i'm standing by that decision. i've toyed with trying to contain them in the space across the street, but i'm not confident they will stay put, and it would be an annoyance i could never fix.
So far I bought everything possible. And when I unlock the last one, I will buy that one too. Why would you not buy a new machine? To save money for the next one?
I skipped the pasta kitchen and bought that last. All the products it makes take dairy products, so it was easier to send Tom out once a week to stock up on those items. I also traded with neighbors who had the pasta kitchen, but did not have one of the subsequent machines. Once I had the other machines, I did buy the pasta kitchen.
I bought mine all out of order. Waaay back in the day, it was easy to find loom and sewing products so didn't buy those until the end of getting all my machines. The pasta kitchen is a waste. Not that the products are easy to find, but I never need them. My gnocchi is probably pretty dusty at this point.
I have never been short on coins throughout my entire hay day career so I easily bought all machines in order and didn't even think that i could skip one. I am happy I played this way too.
Nope, I've bought every single one right as I've unlocked them. Always useful to be able to make all products myself (even if there's a few machines I hardly ever use XD)
Other than the smelters, which I accumulated over a long period of time, I've bought everything as soon as it was available and I could afford it. Some I looked forward to and love seeing at work around the farm...others I've hidden behind trees.
Oh yes, the smelters are a different story, I only quite recently bought the last two.
