Hello, everyone XD
I know some hoods get bored, a little stale sometimes, so I want us to get together and put a bunch of tips together to help our hoods stay fun and light. Now I am not looking for long posts that people won't read, rather quick thoughts.
I will start with this:
everyone wants to help, whether they are level 20, 60 or 100... No matter what your level, always find something to need and engage the smallest of farms
We do "projects". We get together to help with turbo trucker, upgrading someone's barn/silo, doing land expansion for one farm at a time as needed and wanted, helping with achievements on each other's farm. If someone has a truck task we band together and help.
Also from time to time we have played hide and seek. A bush, tree, deco. Or in my case "now where did I hide the hatmaker this time I need to make hats".

pick a day and a timeframe for all to meet up and be on standby... It is a hoot!
make sure you tell your turbo trucker to have all orders ready in advance and tell them to not delete any new orders.
I would like to suggest the following for everyone's consideration. Develop the good habit of thanking your hoodmates every time for helping us such as reviving our plants, filling our boats, and donating via the trading post. This simple act of good manners and courtesy is important because we appreciate their assistance and don't take them for granted, IMHO.
The three most common phrases in my neighborhood chat are as follows.
Thank you for watering my plants.
Thank you for helping my boat.
Thank you for the xyz in which xyz is a crop, a product, or a tool.
I joined my current hood a few years ago and witnessed the expression of gratitude often so I decided to stay. Hoodmates come and go but this practice continues.
Thank you to the farmer who sowed the seeds of gratitude which has developed deep roots in our hood.

It also cuts down on the chat which makes it easier to keep up with the chat. The "Joe has trashed 8751258 tasks" notifications are already annoying enough.
Task help and boat help, never watering unless it is a mass outpouring! It is not expected.

Say Hi and Be back later. This way you are letting your hood mates know you are there and willing to help. Also, it let's them sorta figure out when you might be on so if you like to chat just a bit they may catch you there.

We recently started theme weeks, where most (not all) of us will change our farm name to reflect the theme, Star Trek, GoT, Star Wars characters, gangsters, superheroes, our favorite food, etc. It's fun to see the creativity as some members incorporate their real names into their "theme" name.
Ty and yw are commonplace, but not for watering. That gets exhausting with a hood of 30!
And yes, shout out when your train platform is full of visitors ready for pickup.
