Learn me about it please. Had a recent embarrassment, easily cleared a max th10 ring base then failed on a 9.11 (actually short of full 9.11) with my heavy th10. Went with a aqwalk, bowler down the other side, valks in the middle and wonder if I overthought it. Should it be treated like a th9, and just gohobo it?
I'm thinking this question will remain relevant under the new matchmaker.
If it has everything maxed to th11 levels then it might be extremely hard to take out. I struggle with those a lot too. Had some success with hogs when the base is spaced out and a clan mate took out one with lvl 3 miners, but we don't consistently clean them out either.
depending on the level of defense, I think taking out a low-mid 10 is easier. It could be the vast proportion of walls available that makes pathing more difficult as well. I struggle with them too. They are almost deceptive.
I usually try th9 based attack strategies with limited success. So lavaloon or hogs, which ever the base is more susceptible too.
I love it when the opponent has ring bases! My favorite style to attack.
By 9.11 you mean a TH 11 with TH9 max defence?

My TH9.11 (all the TH11 building added and maxxed except the 3 infernos and the eagle) defends much better than any max TH10.
- More walls and the level 12 walls
- Max archer towers + cannons = Good against ground troops
- Max xbows (air) + wizard towers = Good against baloons
- More HP
Only a good (and almost max) TH11 attacker can 3 star my base. But a TH10 can only 2 star + low % my base.
In my opinion is one of the bests engineered base of the game. It weighs less than a max TH10 but defends much better.
Between the EAGLE being nearly all the defensive weight at TH11 and the infernos being more than half the defensive weight at TH10, you'll be well under max TH10.Quote:

And thanks to the kindly forum member that brought a big 9.11 over for me to take some swings at. Never got close to a triple despite an empty cc. Extra walls and dps forced a big kill squad and not enough of anything else for the cleanup.
But maybe I went after it wrong. If the kill squad isn't getting enough value, skip it? Straight laloon or mass hog maybe? Just the lure will require a big investment though, and I'd need a lot of luck or a lot of skellies to get the aq.
In any event, next time I see one in war its probably best to 2* it and move on, unless we've got a ton of extra attacks.
yeah, TH9.11s with lvl15 points are much harder than they would appear. It shows how ridiculously over-weighted things like infernos and eagles are and how under-weighted lvl15 points are, by comparison.Quote:

A TH11 base without the big-ticket defensive items of BOTH TH10 and TH11 should be easy fodder, but not when it's pulling bases in the mid-10 range while attacking at a max TH11 weight with an essentially free warden. I've really become disillusioned with the whole war game at this point, it seems almost irreparably broken...
