Thank you for the Well Wishes Thistledew... So far, my family and I have been very fortunate.
... we are still in our home and have had no flooding.

Stay safe Sugaz - Adix (can't spell it out cuz censor) spillway is going to be overtopped tonight so that's bad. Looks like Harvey's strongest rains tonight are south and maybe even offshore tomorrow - been watching the KHOU live feed all day last 3 days on the iPad. Horrifying to see thecdevastation in a city I come to frequently and that frankly I much prefer to Dallas.
Good to hear, hopefully it's the same 10 hours on.
I thought it was Katie/Katy but it's a favourite name of mine so I thought I might have misheard.
I know reporters don't have it easy, but for the love of little fish, they could at least try not to ask such incredibly thoughtless questions. Mind you, we bring it upon ourselves I suppose wanting 24/7 live coverage of everything.
Are you in Texas too Rhube or is somewhere else flooding too?
That looks like it's going to cause a real problem too Perky. You'd think in this day & age there'd be a better solution :(
One devastated woman was begging her husband to use the carpet cleaning machine to suck up the water, they were knee deep in it and a river was forming outside. She wasn't happy that he wouldn't do it :( It was never going to do the slightest bit of good, not to mention killing them both, it was probably just as well she wasn't home alone or she might have tried to do it :(
I see Mumbai is flooding too :(
How are you doing Sugaz? Rhubes?
Well SmallChange it finally happened... A CNN reporter was BLASTED by a devastated flood victim when she (the reporter) asked a stupid question. The victim,
who's name is Danielle, blasted her with lots of very colorful words... it's on YouTube. I didn't want to posted it here because of the colorful language... it should not be too terribly difficult to find if you would like to view the video... I have to admit that I did have a chuckle that finally a reporter was put in their place...
My family and I are still very fortunate in that we have not had any flooding. Unfortunately, there are some areas that will remain flooded for several weeks. Life is slowly returning to Houston. The slogan here in Houston is "HOUSTON STRONG"
Thank you for asking,
Hugs,
Suze 😚
Very glad to see you're still safe! (at least as of 5 hours ago) :)
Wait; what? Why would they do that? And why would they waste drinking water like that, when that's one of the things that can indeed become kinda rare during floods? To me that sounds like "oh, let's flood stuff even more, so people can be thirsty later while washing themselves with dirty water".
Indeed! :) The only bad part is, that we'll now have to wait around a year again until we get to know how it continues... xD
Found it and watched it. Some reporters just don't have even the tiniest amount of empathy; at least while doing their job.
x Saturnx... You can read about the A D D I C K S Reservoir here...
SIDE NOTE: HayDay will not allow the spelling of the name of the Reservoir without spaces between the letters... So, just replace the correct letters where the hearts are located in the web address... If you tap on the CONTROLLED Release tab you can read what the Army Corp of Engineers have done in the past 3 days... Hope this helps to answer your question...
