im probably a little late to this party, but since the update I've noticed that the MM is worse than ever... we have been matched to strong engineered clans every time now, while we try to maintain a balanced lineup with no engineering..
another fail by supercell.
Strangely enough, the first match after the MM changes came through was highly dubious, but, interestingly enough, our current match-up is very fair. Strange.
We our raising our eyebrows at it, as I jokingly gave 5 to 1 against that we'd have a fair match (it was a winning bet!), but it is what it is. We got a fair one this time around.

In my clan, we need more data points, but we mark this one down as solid
After our third clan war since this change, I still conclude that matchmaking is more unfair now that it was before. Specifically, we have two th11s and each war has had significantly stronger th11s for the opponent. This was not the case in past wars. In our wars with only a 10 vs 10, when they have two stronger top bases, it is a forgone conclusion who is going to win and the results also bare that out.
Guess we need a new strategy, just not sure what that is. We only have one th10 which is not maxed and a few th9s which are not maxed and a couple of th7/8. We were winning about 60% of the time previously. Maybe we should add 5 th3s and go 15 vs 15? Probably get matched with a clan doing the same, lol.
You might get matched with a clan doing the same or using defenseless accounts. The encouragement by the matchmaker right now is for your th10 to go to th11 and get the warden and extra cc spell slot. The problem with that is there is no going back and the matchmaker could change at any time. In the short term, you likely would see a benefit.Quote:

And yet Supercell claim go have dealt with the matchmaking? No chance have they, if anything it's gotten worse
We've had 4 terrible matches in a row. We win 20-25 wars and have been down 11 eagles total the last 4 wars. This is very frustrating.
We are a clan trying to war with ~12 TH11s, ~8 TH10s, and ~5 TH9s. We have generally pretty high level heros throughout. We have definitely noticed the MM change, as our hero strength has been resulting in 2-5 more opponent TH11s than we have. We understand this mechanism and it's been challenging to adapt. We have almost reported a few of them for simply too many 11s, but this latest is outside the boundary of reasonability. Most notable is the TH9 comparison!
TH11 us 13, them 17.
TH10 us 7, them 8.
TH9 us 5, them 0.
They have 400 wins to our 300. Their hero levels are slightly less overall than ours, but not by much.
We feel SC needs to look closer into this for their feedback analysis. Please contact me for more detailed information. This match is new and we are a couple hrs into prep day.
