War MM & Cannon Cart changes - the FEEDBACK thread!

Our second war since the update. First war pitted us against a heavily engineered clan. We lost by 8 in a 40v. War. The enemy had 11 more wardens than we did. For this war spin we removed any base that could be considered engineered. We had a few .5s and 3 engineers. With those gone we thought we had a better chance to avoid engineers. Well not so much. We are facing another engineered clan in a 30v war. They have about half their bases with stronger offensive engineered bases that match our defensive strength well enough. We do have one more eagle in war than they do. It’s the second war in a row we have no chance to win. Really bummed.

Supercell needs to defend nothing. Its a money making scheme that works. What they are doing is legal. Fair has nothing to deal with this matter.

We experienced engineered clans well within the first year of war, so it has been going on for 2 years plus at minimum.

I thought engineering was ingenious since we could never beat a well disciplined engineered clan. And i thought this was a great way for supercell to make more money.

This is not a new phenomenon that has just taken off.

Actually, the converse is true.

Builder hall is even more of a money pit with the 1 builder, loot caps, and match making. Again, ingenious.

Cannon cart still sucks, there is no point in using them over archers. The damage should be increased even more or add an extra cannon cart when they get to lv10.

War and match making for 3 years. Rushed, and "engineered" bases since the inception. But i do see your point. I do think "engineering" implies war, and hence, i concede your point.

However, we as a clan experienced "engineered" clans during the first year of war. And we were crushed.

People figured this out quick. And credit cards work. And complaints quickly followed. This has been going on for quite sometime with a blind eye from supercell.

I dont blame supercell for making money. Actually, I applaud them. But to say they are trying to "fix" this is a touch disingenuous.

To say this was an "un-intended" gameplay is a false narrative.

The game will always be lopsided. Sure skill can win wars, but in my world, cash is king

Forbes in 2015 had supercell grossing 1 million per day with 30 employees.

I think their match making formula is perfect.

And that is my analysis.

Our second war since the change and it's a shocker, our 10 th11 and 5 th10 against 14 th11 and 1 th10. Their bottom base is very engineered (in an odd way, no walls, 1 of everything including inferno and eagle). Many of the others are low splash and even low point on a few, with quite a lot of manicured offence - all but one sporting big eagles and big infernos.

I'd be curious to know more about the algorithm.

Currently we have 4 th11, 7 th10, 4 th9, 2 th8 and 3 th7 against 5 th11, 6 th10, 8 th9, and 1 th8. Not a lot of obvious engineering although I haven't looked carefully under the hood of each participant. Match just seems lopsided.

Yesterday i was reached 4523 trophies in builder base but at tonight when i see there only 4000 trophies , by how i lost my troopy can you explain?

The suggested option I was replying to was the system of hall matching. A minimum defensive weight per hall is much better than just matching halls, especially if you add a requirement that there is no match if they don't have the same level highest hall. There are more detailed discussions explaining the problems with hall matching in other threads. As for new hall levels being a disadvantage, not only have they not always been a disadvantage, they aren't a disadvantage now and the shouldn't be, but they would be with hall matching.

That is not the only purpose of engineering, given engineers are fighting against other engineers. It is possible that since you haven't warred for so long you missed out on the reason most players engineer.

The trophies reset to 4000 at the end of every season in builder hall and they reset to 5000 on town hall.

We might be talking the same thing. First stage I'd th match on top half of war map, and then use defence and offence to compare those th. If that's balance within a bit of wiggle room. Then you match up. The biggest problem I have with matches is when the other clan has more high level attacks than we do. As maxes we hardly ever had (if ever) had more top th attacks than the other clans. If I have 1 th 11 with good troops and we pull 1 th 11 max, I would not complain. But when we pull a max th 11 plus 3 or 4 more th 11 with max troops, it's ♥♥. We all know the more chances you get with higher troops you have a better chance to win. If this is how SC intends it then say so. Either we stop waring or engineer ourselves, but I personally think it's a chicken poo way to go, and from what SC had been saying they believe the same. Remember their core values post, or was that just lip service too? I personally don't believe that's how they intended we play this game, but they are endorsing it by allowing it to continue. Have to believe now they must be an alternative reason. .....
