Hero levels are about the same, with a slight advantage to them.
25v25, our clan got matched to a clan with 6 th11s to our 3 (all legit th11s with eagles).
All of their th11s are maxed or near maxed with eagles maxed offenses and heroes. They have sandbagged their bottom with 4 defenseless th3 accounts, a defenseless th7.
We have no engineered accounts. Even number of th10s, but we have Three 9.5s (new th10s without infernos) to their two 9.5s (near max th10s without infernos).
This is lame. Sandbagging is lame. Fix this ♥♥♥♥ supercell.

Our wars are 10v10, lately the other clans usually have 1 or 2 more th11 than us, which I figure isn't too bad,
In our latest war it's 6 th11 vs our 2 th11. Really supercell?
We are a clan with 8.5s, 9.5s, and 10.5s and typically win 2/3 of wars. Since the update we have had horrendous matchups with many highly engineered clans with multiple th11s with th7 defenses for example. We have been perfect warred 4 times in a row after not getting perfect warred for months. Please change it back to the way it was otherwise I fear my classmates clanmates will all quit. :(
Another very close and even war. Final score was 59 to 5. Why was this even? They would of gotten 59 but lost on pct since the war came down to the #1 spot. Ours was a 66% 2* theirs a 65% 2*. They completely gave up after that attack.
Overall excellent match up.

on the ones where we have just used 'balanced' bases with a mix of th10,9,8,7 we have had a remarkable good matchup, the last one the th level and quantity were the same on both sides. This does include a couple of natural 8.5s
on the ones where we have experimented with defenceless, th3 padding, minimaxs - we have got our trousers pulled down with unwinnable wars
one other thing to note is that our lineup could be considered top heavy with 6 late th9 (max def 25+) in a 15vs
so from our testing at least, a nice balanced roster equals a nice balanced matchup :)

They have 3 extra EAs. 8 extra Wardens, 6+ lots of maxed troops.
OK, we have a defence advantage lower down, but they have advantage at top, and offence advantage.
So this is 10 out of 12 on the new MM where we have been out numbered on TH11 bases.
War match making getting worse, we have consecutive losses because of engineered bases with high troops. This is not fair play we have 3 straight losses and now the 4th will be loss too because it is unfair obviously mismatch!!! Please do something about this because this is not fun anymore.
