Hello, can someone please let me know what's the best order to purchase pets? I see some require more vouchers than others, why is that? Are certain pets better to have? TIA.

Oh gosh, I don't even know how to answer this question. I bought them randomly based on what I could "afford" and what I wanted. But they each have different point values, so-to-speak. And some people just like cats, so want all the cats first!
Here is a thread explaining the pets and their "drops", it might seem overwhelming, but it turned out to be super helpful to me! (Of course, I had all the pets by the time I discovered this thread....)

The drop guide is useful to some (I don't use it) but some pets give you 100 xp while others give you 40. Besides that there really isn't much of a difference. I bought mine randomly based on what I wanted and what I could afford as well. I don't recommend you buy the pets in some sort of "strategic" way because there isn't one. Some pets cost more for the same reason some food items cost more and the next machine will always cost more.
Thank you, I did see Myso's thread before but I don't think it would work for me because I have Rose and Ernest so my farm animals are never waiting for me to collect them. Besides the fact that I'm not that organized, I usually just blow the whistle. Lol. I admire anyone who can wake them in this order and clearly it pays off, you get more rare items. I think I'll get a hound next! 👍

I wake in the Myso way, I feel horribly guilty if I don't :saywhat: I only use R&E if I get them free. They are funny to have around for a short while, but they screw my game up WAY too much to have them on retainer!
It's great we can all play how we want to.
As for buying pets, I really don't think it's worth worrying about what points they give, especially if you're just whistling them awake. I just saved up to buy the one I wanted next or which one I had the right vouchers for - depending on how much I wanted one of them. I *really* wanted the Provence Donkey(s) it seemed to take FOREVER to get to the right level & have enough vouchers. Of course, back then, there were only half of the pets there are now!
Pets are nice and give you good rewards => if you are able to feed them (!)Quote:

3 horses, 3 dogs, 3 cats and 6 rabbits are on my farm and I am able to feed them every 6 hours . I got 8 tools every day from this animals ;-)
Only get pets that eat carrots, too many dogs and puppies and you'll never have enough bacon, cats / kittens similar but you can harvest from the cows more often so less of a problem.
YOU might not have enough, plenty of us do. You just need to remember to collect from your piggies as soon as they're ready & first thing in the morning & make sure you have enough feed. Plus buy any bacon you see!Quote:

True, but it's more of a warning that they are mire expensive to maintain. You get the most experience points from waking horses for least effort making food & looking after them.Quote:
