I bought the Hat machine but selling them in my RSS is not easy, so where is the market for these?
From what I've read on the forums, some people with large barns buy them, then sell them to the farm visitors when there is a double coin visitor event.
Other than that I think they often just sit there until Tom or Greg finally buy them?
Personally I very rarely sell them because so many people do that already. I only keep a small amount in stock and if I ever run out, I know there will be plenty available in the Daily Dirt.
i never bothered to buy the hat machine (i want the others i'm still missing first) in part because they are so easy to find. so i just buy a few when they are infrequently needed - the trucks / townies don't seem to want them either lol
ETA i will also buy them just to sell and advertise when i want boat crate help from paper. my thinking is they will sit there for a while which gives my help request more exposure. it used to be that they'd just sit there until the ad expired, but more recently they tend to sell within maybe 20 minutes
The problem is Cloche Hats are really easy to make compared to the other hats, if you want your hat maker busy (for mastery) - 90% of the time you would make a Cloche Hat.
I buy the red hats often and resell them in seconds advertised to get outside help for my boat. :)Quote:

i will view them from a number of different perspectives now whereas I was thinking the machine and the hats were a complete waste of time ;)
Me! I'm actually running low on red hats right now. I had a boat and several truck orders for them this week, so will gladly buy them if mine don't finish "cooking" by the time I need them.
And I sell them. All the time. They go, just be patient and keep advertising stuff in your farm stand! (Or wait and Greg or Tom will swoop though and take them off your hands).
I buy them and resell them for quick ads in the paper. I also buy them if there is a request for them because I don't keep much in stock.
I buy them. But maybe not so much anymore. I had the hatmaker hidden and would have to hunt for it when I needed red hats so I just bought them. But I have redone my farm now and brought it out in the open to join the other machine line up.
