In that case it is called a new th10 with mid 20s heroes without infernos yet.
I was under the impression 9.5 was a fresh th10 that graduated maxing th9 (heroes too) and holding infernos until heroes are high enough lvls.

If you define a 9.5 like that then you'll find that there are very very few th9.5s in the game. Most of people do go to th10 before maxing both royals.

hmm.. here I was holding out hope that someone had a link to some statistical war win / loss averages kind of details over the whole of the server.

How hard should it be for a town hall 11 to 3 star another town hall 11? (or any th vs their proper mirror)

I agree with you that many people go about their upgrades casually, maxing takes so long!
But if we are going to have a good debate we need to get on the same page about coc terms otherwise things get lost in translation.

I'm more in agreement with Rachel on this one. I always thought a .5 base was a base that was maxed at the previous townhall. From what I'm reading some of you saying a .5 base is, it's nothing more than a rusher imo. Not a clueless rushers, just an impatient player looking to go up a townhall without finishing the actual townhall they're working on.

I agree with this definition of .5 aswell. If memory serves me correct its the original meaning. I guess terms evolve with time though.

My personal definition of a 9.5:
A base with defensive weight higher than a maxed th8, at least 1 war army comp at th10 levels with both royals above level 5.

My personal definition of a rushed th10:
A base that has all war army compositions below th10 levels.

My personal definition of a fresh th10:
A base that has all th9 war armies maxed and is in process of upgrading his army to th10 levels.

There's not many of them out there, however. I reckon in my clan only about half actually do 30/30 royals at TH9, and we encourage high heroes and almost always out-royal our opponents. IIRC our current enemy has 14 TH10s (including numerous non-inferno ones) and I don't think they have a single one with 30/30+ heroes.

Most people seem to be using x.5 to mean pretty much any non-inferno TH10 these days.

While I agree there is not many, I've personally watched 3 clan members do it within the last year or so. These three guys have been with the clan from the beginning, 3 years give or take. My clan must think more like yours, we'd rather be on the hero side of the advantage.

As a respected member on the forum, a former game specialist and an invited guess by SC to Helsinki, I would expect you to understand that: the ability to see target's attacks, cc, base layout and above all, ability to replicate bases and FC non stop, would give the hunter huge advantages that will dwarf any mm mismatch that a clan will ever see.

Why is it so hard for you to admit a 9.5 is a 10 with at least full max def & offense 9 (including heroes) and no inferno?
That's been the definition in this forum for the longest time.
Lets call things properly the way they are, seriously this is why many people get confused down the road.

20% of clans are 'maxers' who enjoy seeing how tough they are in their youtuber style wars... (the well known type clans most can 'respect' they will always get 90% or better destruction and will win 8 out of 10
30% of clans are clueless casual people who leave it open to all - start random wars then never show up to attack... they may win one out of 10.
15% of clans like FWA, orange and the like -- those ideally get 50% wins and losses... 100% or 50% destruction
15% of clans are smart players who know how the game works - they upgrade as time permits because they dont spend all day in game, they attack a base with a pre made cookie cutter army that they always use - they dont spend an hour meticulously planning their attacks, they arent watching youtube tutorials, they will win more than they loose. they may win 6 or 7 out of 10 wars.


so -- with my numbers I'd guess that maybe your statistics are close as a guess...

but - i have never seen facts.. and your stating your 50% like its a fact...

You have 5500 posts; maybe you know more than I do. - Care to reference where you draw your statistic from?

by definition, and excluding ties, the "average clan" wins 50% of its wars. That's because one clan must lose, and one clan must win. This is a mathematical certainty. Making up, out of whole cloth, relative shares of the community and assigning them particular play styles does nothing to refute that.

Guess even SC figured they weren't really relevant to any real kind of war.

Kinda makes you wonder what all the fuss is about.

And of course, OK, they got your spin time and lineup/BD. What the hell they going to match you with?
Magic up a full set of identical uber-engineered bases? Splash $1k+ each base gemming them from scratch?
So, point still partially standing, what on earth (or Mars) do you have to fear from a hunt?

But any clan that would challenge #6M would probably need to be mostly TH10+ engineered bases. Many #6M bases have level 13 or higher point defences, even the ones I guess are fighting TH7s or 8s. There's no way the enemy could replicate #6M bases using TH8s.

Or, hey guys we don't win alot of wars but guess what. If we surge offence way ahead of defence we can attack TH9's with wardens. Don't worry about learning to properly raid, no need with this "strategy". I know we all stink but who cares, we deserve big streaks too darn it!

See, propaganda works both ways and is seldom based on reality.

FTR. 9.5 is exactly as it sounds. 9.5 was coined as you are only working on half the base (the offense). If you have all th9 defenses in place and go to th10 and only work on offense, you are essentially a 9.5. Once you place the first defense from th10, that graduates from 9.5 to new 10.

In real war, yes. However, in game, many people want to have an even match at the start, because it is more fun to them to have the outcome determined by the attacking and designing skill of the players, rather than their knowledge of how to take advantage of the matchmaker. Others like the challenge of taking advantage of the matchmaker better than their opponent, even if it means the match itself is the most exciting part of the war since much of the time there is no chance for the other team to win after that match is found.

Out trend is were getting harder matchups post update, we run lots of .5s and a 9.11 or 2. Ro early to tell but for me their has been a move slightly towards parity, possibly.

I am far from the biggest engineers out there. Having a few .5s is far from extreme engineering. I have actually seen one of your wars and the enemy clan had 0 chances. I have also seen the accounts in your clan and I know how much punch they bring per weight compared to the rest of the game. I don't understand why you guys keep coming here claiming that you get fair matchups when everyone and their dog knows you aren't. Everyone knows you guys are the best at playing the matchmaker, but for some reason you want people to think that you aren't good at that but are just good attackers instead. Which you aren't because you have no real experience against clans that can actually offer any resistance. You guys are great trolls, but this is getting old.

How about those clans that are just loosing every war they fight?

Heck I know a few that loose on purpose... one in particular made it a goal to reach level 10 perks without ever winning a war.. lol

- No reason to bicker about facts and statistics when there are none publicly available to use as a reference and no easy way to prove anything...

Dismiss the Martian power as you wish, but this is one of the main ingredients of our success. Since we don't have skill as many of you have pointed out, and engineering can be easily copied, what do you think separates us from the rest? Got our second war since the update. 30 minutes search. On the surface, it looks like one of those head scratcher mismatches we sometimes get vs engineered clans.

Us: #1: TH9 offense (our top offense), with teenager heroes and 62K defense weight.
Them: #1: TH10 offense, with teenager heroes, 87K defense weight. Their #2 and #3, are both with TH9 offense and 66K defense weight. In addition, they have 2 TH11s with TH11 war troops upgraded (one with warden), lurking at #4 and #7. Enemy is on a 6 wins streak.

However, upon further analysis, we still conclude it is fair match, considering the rest of our roster and the fact enemy also put 5 low TH fillers at the bottom that can't do anything to our lowest base. It seems like enemy tried to roster engineering but it backfired.

Next war, we will try with our regular roster by putting one or two TH11 anchors in to see what we get in the MM.

Both searches my clan has had since the new matchmaker was put in place have taken about 5 minutes and both matchups have been pretty even.

We just finished our second post-update matchup. we are heavily engineered (defenseless 11 with 45/45/20, 10.5 with max, 9.5 with max, etc). Both wars we've had were against heavily engineered clans with very similar lineups to ours. New matchmaking appears to be very fair.
