Nice job on the match making update Supercell

Yep, nice job. Only first war but the system seems able to tell what is an engineered clan. I m one of them n I used to match with rushed clans and it was such non existent challenge that i got lazy and rusted.

The new opponent is a proper engineered clan and i need that a proper challenge so dont mistake it i need challenge too i need pratice i just dont want to try too hard to beat my weight is all.

The average clan wins only 50% of the time, so you are a little high in describing the "decently skilled" clan. However, I think your clan is more than decently skilled. I think it is likely very very skilled. So, I think if you had even match-ups with both sides having the same troops and defenses you would win 90% or more, and no one would know who you are since there are so many clans out there doing the same.

It doesn't seem to me most are bashing engineering (some are). Most bash the other nonsense being said by martians from time to time, including OP in this thread, which was a troll thread by the way.

I have played for nearly 4 years and have made it a hobby to seek out any and all statistical knowledge regarding clan wars.

I have never witnessed anyone posting fictional or factual information regarding the statistical win/loss averages of the 4 million clans in game...

I must question your suggestion that 'most clans win 50%' - I would say many clans that have little skill will loose a lot more than clans that have elected to use good upgrade practices and who only recruit experienced players -- clans that mandate the use of external chat apps, mandate watching tutorial videos and other things...

These higher quality clans are very numerous - I have no clue what percent of the 4 million clans are comparable to these, but I'd guess its probably 15 to 30% of them. I have seen war logs from many hundreds of clans; if not thousands of clans.. a large number of them have respectable war win ratios - where they get 98% or better destruction every war. (perhaps because I only play in clans that can score 100% I tend to see other clans who can do the same) I guess if I floated around in clans that lost all the time i'd see other clans that lost more often... (thats how the match maker claims to work)


So I'm going to make my own personal guessing here -
20% of clans are Engineered - always winning or getting close to 100%
20% of clans are 'maxers' who enjoy seeing how tough they are in their youtuber style wars... (the well known type clans most can 'respect' they will always get 90% or better destruction and will win 8 out of 10
30% of clans are clueless casual people who leave it open to all - start random wars then never show up to attack... they may win one out of 10.
15% of clans like FWA, orange and the like -- those ideally get 50% wins and losses... 100% or 50% destruction
15% of clans are smart players who know how the game works - they upgrade as time permits because they dont spend all day in game, they attack a base with a pre made cookie cutter army that they always use - they dont spend an hour meticulously planning their attacks, they arent watching youtube tutorials, they will win more than they loose. they may win 6 or 7 out of 10 wars.


so -- with my numbers I'd guess that maybe your statistics are close as a guess...

but - i have never seen facts.. and your stating your 50% like its a fact...

You have 5500 posts; maybe you know more than I do. - Care to reference where you draw your statistic from?

As trollish OP's post may sound...
His point is that SC war MM is as balanced as it could be for everyone's play style.
The day we don't like the war MM, it won't be only us who would not like it, it would be hated by everyone.

He didn't say "most" clans with 50% - he said the "average" clan. It might have been more precise to say the "mean win rate is 50%" - and it is fixed at just under that (allowing for a few ties)

Taking 7 out of 10 on the last one if my maths is correct that adds up to 58% of wars are won globally, and 42% are lost. I think you might find the global win rate is a little lower than that ;)

Oh there's plenty of changes SC could make that would be unfortunate for your clan, but very popular elsewhere. I've visited 3 other clans in the last day, and their responses to the MM change range from upset to furious. They're certainly not reacting the same way you are.

Correct and it was in response to the post that said "decent" clans win 90%. I noted average clans win about 50% because it is relevant to the description of "decent" clans winning 90%. I definitely never said most clans win 50%. The point was I think a clan winning 90% is more than just "decent" although a lot of the clans of form users here win in that range. The players who make use of this forum, especially this subforum, are better than average generally.

Define engineers. One clan is (although that's maybe a couple of bases outside x.5s in a 30 or 40 war). The others are what I would consider typical clans - some x.5s. Slightly rushed in places but had heard not to drop too many big defences. Eg newish 9.5 with heroes in the low-mid 20s and IIRC not masses in the way of troops yet, upgrading defences but holding off on infernos for now. But unhappy to have an opponent with 2 low defence TH11 bases that can stomp anything their side - that 9.5 was #1. They don't consider themselves engineered.
