Increase Price of Clan to 1 or 2 million

First off this is not a complaint... merely a suggestion I had to make the meaning of a clan more important and give experienced players the ability to make a clan.

I have noticed a ton of new players make clans which leads to global spam of newer players looking for clans with free co... I really do think this takes away the sole purpose of clans :/... they should not be easy to obtain and this would make clans a less common theme. Also only serious people would be building clans, ones who know what they are doing and how to actually play. Yes a th5 can farm 1 million gold however if you farm 1 million at th5 you must know something about the game ;). I see hundreds and hundreds of new th3's and 4's looking for members and global which is not a good place for them to start.

Pros of Increasing Clan cost.
I think it will make clan owners value their clan more, leaving us with more responsible clan owners because a milli ain't a joke especially if it was paid by a lower level.

That will drastically reduce people passing clan at will or while deceived because they can just open 10 more with a good 3 mins loot, cos you'll know u have to farm a milli to start a new clan.

Cons!
Given that clash if clans is more than 5 means we have enough clan to go round a war spin for all clan sizes, not a new game. But won't that make us lose potential new guys?

A lot of people would argue that they used global as their main recruiting media and thus it is only to be expected that there will be a lot of players going to global to find new members for their brand new clan. I do not know what is your purpose when you go to global but everyone else is allowed to be there. Unless they are being abusive and\or talking inappropriately then they are free to try and recruit people from global. If you do not like it then yes, mute 90% of global.

I think you missed what this thread was about, it had nothing to do with how people were acting... it was a suggestion about clans ♥♥♥♥

If those clans didn't exist how would we get the easy wins when we're a newer or lower level clan. I say let them be. It makes for good practice wars.

It kind of touched on both. You referred to people spamming global looking for members. You should probably learn to deal with it. Let people start clans if they want, they are generally not competing with advanced clans for members. You would basically be eliminating clans that very low players can join because you personally feel there are too many clans in a game called clash of clans.

You were complaining about a global spam and when Reefus suggested that you use the mute button your question was to "mute 90% of global?". This highly suggests that you are referring to what people are doing in global on how they are "spamming" global looking for free CO or perhaps offering them. These are "actions" in global which according to you is 90% of the posts.

No I don't think that this game has too many clans, I think that players that are too new to the game are able to make clans. We will still see the clan spam but not from new players who don't know what they are doing. There are tons of clans out there who take in new players that are willing to learn the game and I personally think that trolls should not even deserve to have a clan.

I think they don't want being able to join a clan and creating one in a different place

I made a post like this about a year ago, i said they should be th8 or higher to start one purely because they are more experienced and would be less making new clan every 5 minutes making easier to recruit for starter clans

Now my clan is level 11 pretty much runs and recruits itself (with the help of the fine members and hard work we put in) an i just dont worry about other clans anymore

I am glad that creating a clan is cheap.

It seems to me that the bulk of players are immature and unskilled. I am forever having to weed out the bad from the few worthwhile quality clan members. All those horrible and immature players need some place to go.

How does a clan created by a new player affect others in the game? Does it negatively affect everyone else's game play?

Isn't the game called clash of clanS? So why do you want it to be harder for other people to make a clan? When someone doesn't like a clan they are in, doesn't everyone tell them to make their own? I think the system is fine as is. I don't see all the free co spam in global because I stay out of that cesspool. Therefore i don't care how many people make a clan or what they do with it. It's their time they are spending on the game. Let them do with it what they want.

Seriously, did you miss out on finding a new girlfriend because the free co spam scrolled your gf request off the screen before your soul mate could see it? :)

Let it be. Make it stay the same, most of clans will be eliminated slowly and let the tiny slim tip get in the top. Mute 90% of global if you need. That's what the mute button is for.

If this happens global would be full of need a clan .....need a clan spam. Only way to be safe in global by staying silent or never to touch global chat

What makes you think that making clans more expensive will put an end to the cess pool that is global?

You could make them 10 million gold, and that will never change. It's the nature of people, unfortunately.

Completely agree, OP. But I do think you're being too generous as 1-2 mil is still too less. Maybe 3-4 mil?

Although I don't think it would change much, obviously the free co everywhere in chat is extremely annoying :/ I guess all we can do is to mute 90% of global after all lol

Not going to happen. Why would an experience player recruit new players in his clan.

This is a multiplayer game. Everyone is given their freedom of choice.

Clash is a free game where everyone has their freedom of choice.

If you are an experienced player and your clan have good stats, those who are interested in joining you will come by themselves.

Increasing the price is not a solution to this. If the free co offer convince other players, what's your problem. To be honest I don't think an experienced player will join a clan with mostly lower levels and inexperienced players. So if your clan is good enough, you will have the chance to have some good line up of players.

Sorry to say but increasing the price will not change anything much.

"Free Co" clans serve an important purpose of keeping the kids occupied.

When a new member joins, if they ask for Co or elder right off the bat, you know where they come from and as an adult, you can safely kick them from the clan.

I would rather that most of the kids gather in "free co" clans, thus saving me the time needed to verify that a player has some sort of "adult mentality" :-)

i am a th10 and all the clans i created has new low lev recruits in it simply because we all had to start somewere in this game and i will give anyone a chance it really bugs me when other high lev bases just mock new bases its only a game after all

There are too many clans. It is hurting the game. Significantly.

Hop in global RIGHT NOW. You will find at least six or seven clans with 5 clashers or less begging for members.

"But everyone deserves to have a clan" then make one. But make the cost higher so clashers are forced to be more experienced and wise about starting clans.

Here is why - and for those that know me on here this is my great terror of the game - I really think the game loses more new clashers for this reason than any other.

clasher xxbeastbmode joined the game a few days ago and did a few raids, upgraded a thing or two but has not been really active. Well, he is bored so today he raids a lot. And sees a high level clan that won't let him in and thinks "I am building one of those". He has never been in war, nor has he ever really been in a clan for more than a few donates, but how hard could it be?

So. "best clan" is made. xxbeastmodexx at th4 with lvl 1 troops is now clan leader and is spamming global. "HELP PLZZZZZZZ" "FREE CO" "I NEED YOU" and the usual. He gets muted by most of the veteran clashers.

But in comes NinjaGuy44. He is a th5, 14 years old and kinda likes the game so far. He has been in a few clans, but not knowing who to join he tends to join the clans with the loudest recruiter thinking they would be the most fun. xxbeastmodexx gets him and a few others.

"Hey, thanks for joining Ninja. this is gonna be best clan ever. seriously. want troops?"

so ninja gets two lvl 1 giants and the clan hops for another hour. But xxbeastmodexx has other things to do so he disappears from clan chat for a bit. The problem is, that bit is three weeks.

Ninja and a few others that joined are not really chatty on their own, so the clan goes quiet. Ninja checks in a few times, no one is ever on. He realizes CORRECTLY that the game is kinda dull (not knowing other ways to play) and heads back to meet up with buddies playing PS4. He never logs back in again.

Check these clans out. This is exactly what happens.

The game NEEDS those clashers.

but its 'CLASH OF CLANS', not, 'clash of newbs loitering about on global, who will most likely quit in a month'. they dont affect me in any way, so i don't really give a frank what they do

The game needs clashers.

They do influence you.

If these clashers quit, the game does not grow. While you may not notice if a clasher quits today, its impact will be felt in coming months.

In the past month we have kicked at least 10 th7-8s who can't attack with drags. We give advice and 4-5 wars to use that advice if they ignore us we boot.

These players are coming from those inexperienced clans. Yes they should increase clan price.

Global will change from join new clan to someone create clan with me.

Agreed. Increase costs of creating a clan. And even have a monthly fee come from the clan coffets to keep the clan up and running. So dead clans disappear faster. Tidy up the game and nudge players closer to one another.

People make clans for Friendly Challenge 5v5s or just to do some quick FCs. Why should we have to focus solely on players who recruit on global?

I understand that. But they need a place to go that has a leader smart enough that he was able to earn a few hundred thousand gold in raids and genuinely wants to run a clan so they can learn the game and be less horrible.

We lose too many players that have the potential to get better when they join xxbeastmodexx and his promise of awesome donates and free co. They need to join clan leaders that can help SOME of them get to know the game and learn the game.

This is what I was trying to get across, I have seen hundreds of clans made by experienced players that are looking to help new players grow, but don't get any members because the new players can get in an awful clan with free co leader. I for one am up to a larger challenge in war and would love to see more competition as I find a ton of players (including myself) never learned to properly attack. This is not about me but about the future players of clash of clans. I for one want to keep this game alive and forever flourishing.

I still do not see how one's ability to create a clan affects other people. If a noob creates a clan, invites people and abandons the clan, how does that contribute to people quitting the game? I doubt that people are such snowflakes that an abandoned clan causes them to quit the game. It is just as easy to find another clan to join.

How does one's ability to create a clan contribute to the lack of skills and immaturity of a player? A person who is unwilling to learn will not have the skills that higher level clans desire. It has nothing to do with how easy it is to make a clan. As for immaturity, I still do not know how a newly created clan causes one to become immature. Please explain how that happens.

I do not see how a clan with experienced players have trouble finding members. At least one of the clans that I am in have many join requests on a daily basis. Most of them get rejected due to their inexperience in war or if we find that they are just hopping. We do check their clan history. The problem is not with finding members but is in finding good members that fit the clan. The lack of good members cannot be correlated to the cost or ease of creating a clan. The shortage of good members stems from the fact that most of them have already found a clan that they are happy to be in.

I'll argue the flip side just as a counter argument. Leave it like it is, argument being "new noob clans are part of the process". real clash players move to the next clan.

Back when I started I ended up joining a kid clan like is referenced and the leader was active and only a little annoying. Anyway just by force of presence and talking sense I ended up finding and bonding with almost a "sub group" of adults. We ended up leaving after the leader made his age show one day more so than normal, and made our own clan. Still have a couple from the original core fighting with us today years later.

I think when the noobs start a clan they see how hard it is being boss and respect the higher ranks in the next clan after they give up trying and just behave better in someone else's clan.

What I tell people in global is just find a clan that will donate every so often and doesn't drive you nuts. The first TH go pretty fast and you don't really need pointers. The real game starts at TH 7 lvl 2 drags and lightning bolt. Then you can join a real war clan and get good at war. Then get good at hogs or whatever...

Many players will quit anyway. Absolulely true. Got it.

But many players would have played more. They would have experienced a game as most of us did. Joining low level clans that still did war, donated some things, were active enough to teach us about the game.

Instead. they unknowingly join "bad clans" that teach them nothing about the game, so they head offline to play Destiny instead.

Perhaps of the ten that quit, 9 would quit anyway. But its that 1 I keep posting about. That one clasher that if they were in a clan that was purposely built to play the game, by a clasher that had to raid and save gold to build a clan, then that ONE clasher will stick around.

And that one in ten adds up.

If a player is going to quit simply because of their first clan experience then I do not think that they would last in the game to begin with. There are so much more in this game that can rub you the wrong way that makes a bad first clan experience seems so trivial.

I think that your estimation of 1 out of 10 is overly inflated. Unless you can point out a source for your estimate, I am incline not to believe it.

What about this scenario, a new player sets out looking for a good clan and he keeps getting rejected by clans who are serious about the game simply because he does not have enough experience. Rejection is a very powerful motivator (or demotivator depending on how you look at it). This qualifies as a first time clan experience and that same player would have quit the game anyway.

There is not a long window of time for people to spend learning a game - not one that is free to play, easy download and easy move on.

the shelf life of experimentation is short as there are other games to play.

bad experience - give up on the game quickly.

but, we see differently, that's ok.
