Gold Mine Upgrade "payback" analysis...

Gold Mine lvl 9 to 10 upgrade for 84,000E +3days for Add'l 300gold/hr. Loose 3d x 300/hr=21600 gold lost production. After upgrade add'l 300/hr takes 72hrs or 3 days more until you "payback" the investment time and actually get more gold/hr. So the upgrade actually takes 6 days! Similarly, 8 days for lvl 10 to 11. Am I correct?

Your math is off because you used 300/day as the variable for lost production, which is wrong. You lose the production of the level the mine was previously at, so for 9 -> 10 you're losing 2200/hour for 3 days, which is 158,400g. Since you gain 300 more income once its upgraded, 158,400/300 = 528 hours, which is 22 days. 22 days is the "catch up" time before you start seeing positive returns on the investment for a level 10 collector. Level 11 collectors actually have a shorter catch up period, because the marginal increase of income is 500 instead of 300.
