Do what you want, especially if it makes you happy. Life is not about saving money; it's about making money to spend. As long as you can cover your expenses, go for it! Do what you want.

Maybe I would spend 1k as well if I can make it back in a day... :D

As what others have said, what's the point in gemming if you are not in top 200.

Yes you nay feel buzzed you maxed your base, however that will eventually die of.

You can max your base without the use of gems, so why speed up the process?

Its not as if you have terminal cancer... I hope not:)
