Global top players - who are they???

Hi,
I am just wondering if there is anything on this forum or online about the life of the Hay Day super players. You know, these accounts that are at level 400+. I sometimes go to the boat leaderboards and watch the boats of the top players. It's amazing, boat after boat after boat in a matter of seconds. These guys must spend thousands of dollars in diamonds every day. I just wonder who they are, what the heck they do with their lives (do they work? Do they have assistants to help them with their farm? How many farms do they have anyway?) and more generally how they can handle all this. Plus, sometimes, it does not even seem that their farms are even maintained, and yet their levels go up. Also, besides the boat leaderboards, are there other venues where you can "spot" some top players? If you are a 400+ level player, would you mind telling us how you do it? I am so curious about this! Thanks :)

I have never watched these farms and am not sure they are on these forums. But I did recently hear about people renting farms. I am not sure if it is true but I know its against TOS. Maybe thats how they do it? Not accusing just stating something I heard.

As far as I am aware no-one that operates a farm over level 250 has ever posted on this forum - at least as long as I have been a member. I did start a thread asking the same questions as yourself a long while back but it never really answered the question.

I used to wonder the same thing, Hello2015. However, you quickly learn to not be impressed by their actual farming abilities.
They are simply diamond burners, thousands of dollars worth. When you look at things that actually take time/farming to achieve, you'll see there is very little farming work going on. For example, go check out the top truck shippers from the last global event. They shipped around 20,000 trucks. A great way to level up, but impossible to actually do with normal day to day farming. Hay Day must love them though! The reason you don't see them on the forum is what would they talk about? How much money they burned through to get their name on a leaderboard. :)
Go look at their fishing area. One has only caught 8 different fish (out of a total of 43). And the land clearing area that requires permits has barely been touched. I'm glad Hay Day added features that you CANNOT achieve with just diamonds.
When I first saw these farms I figured they must work around the clock to achieve great things...then I realized it's just the spoiled rich kid that went out and bought a Ferrari to show off.
All that being said, I'm glad they do it! Hay Day makes money, we all get diamonds for rewards, and they're free to spend their money however they want. Just keep in perspective how most of them got there.

Most of us buy diamonds, for this or that reason, and it is okay, the SC team deserves it, giving us tons of fun play hours. As for ne, i am not a great spender. I spend diamonds on expanding machines, sometimes the 10th task and the odd deco. Being a guy and all, i dont really appreciate the bling much.
But what they do is just crazy, wasting so much real money. And why? For bragging rights? All their sheen is lost on me, i am not impressed, high level,or not.. I hope they are having fun, they paid for it.

I self-satisfied (ha!) my curiousity by concluding (rightly or wrongly) that they are using diamonds. I am firmly in the "play your way" club. There are far worse ways to spend money and far worse things to finance than innocent entertainment like HayDay.:) Topping leaderboards, accumulating trophies, beating games make some people content. Contentment is a lovely thing to claim. More power to us all. :thumbsup:

Agree 100%. If that makes someone happy, and can easily afford it, go for it. Some people loathe "paying real cash for virtual stuff". But they will buy music online, or go to the movie theathre, or light a smoke efficiently killing themselves not virtually.
But many of them cant resist the urge to point at the errors of their peer's ways...

Many Top Global Players continue to play because of the the friendships and bonds they have developed from the game. I read from old posts that Murat traveled to Thailand to meet with Orawan. And some continue their superfarms as a way to respect those who have invested bigly in their boats, etc. Hay Day is a never ending game after all.

Whenever I feel like I am playing too much, I just think how much those top players are playing. I have no problem with those spending diamonds...keeps the game going for all of us.

One thing I would like to see is a leaderboard based on overall farm score, with separate leaderboards based upon length of time playing. One for under 6 months, one for under 1 year, one for under 2 years, one for under 3 years, etc. I started playing relatively late and, while there is technically no "competition", it would be fun to see how I am doing compared to others who have been playing about the same length of time.
