Veteran clasher? Let's look back on the good ol' days when Clash of Clans was young.
I remember when:
There were only 4 dark troops.
Jorge Yao was top of the player leaderboards.
North 44 was the best clan.
Clan wars were still only presented in threads in the IFR sub forum.
People used to put their town halls on the outside to get free shields.
I remember the dark time before our lord and savior Darian. Oh, and lightning on the DE storage and 2015 queen AI.
Ahhh zapping. That was fun. TH7s didn't get a DE drill to start with so zapping allowed them to get their kings quickly.Quote:

I remember when there was a troop and spell event each week with gem rewards even if there were other events going on. The events helped keep folks interested in playing. The last couple Clashiversary events have been fairly weak in comparison especially if this is supposed to be enticing folks to play more.
Yeah the free shield for letting your town hall be sniped was nice. When this was removed a lot of casual players left the game. The game mechanics on raids and shields have been somewhat broken since then. You can have a good defense and stop an attack for a low % only to be wiped out on the next attack because your traps are disarmed and clan castle troops wiped not. So a good defense becomes a penalty since you get raided twice and the loot available to the raiders gets reset each time.Quote:

Ah 'member when you could leave your th outsadee walls for a shield an also when troops wouldna run away from poison spell. *rocks back and forth in rocking chair in the porch*
i remember when each barrack and spell factory had its own queue. As well as knowing what war bases looked like prior to the war starting. Now it's knowing whether the clan castle has troops in them or not prior to start. I feel like those diligent enough to plan keeps getting punished in war...
started playing in 2012, I remember when there were no leagues and the highest TH hall is TH 8, and 2000 trophies is the highest trophy
Oh this drove me crazy right after. I had to re design my base to have people attack one side more often and move my stuff to allow most attacks (no matter how bad) clear the required 30%. It's a tease TH to one side and CC on the opposite side of my base. Sometimes they'll get my TH and never trigger my troops.Quote:

I disagree, the update addressed an exploit that should have never happened. Farming is still great, it's at least as good as it was before the update. You can still farm casually, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. You make it seems as if you need that crutch to develop your base at all, nonsense. And that thing of getting hit by a low percentage attack and getting wiped the next rarely happens and I farm in low leagues(where the attackers tend to be weaker).Quote:

Ummm....if you're a TH10 and in Crystal, and think 60% in higher leagues is a good attack, I'd reword the sentence " only people who can't farm well" ... to admit " only people like me who can't farm well" ...
I wouldn't let it known to friends if I were a 10 farming in Crystal...but then, I have a bit of pride ...
I was cooking a golem for a request and thinking this is taking too long at 5 minutes only to remember I used to wait 45 minutes for one.

Apparently you can't comprehend simple sentences. When I said "You couldn't get 60% or more before the update?" I'm clearly saying that 60% in higher leagues (mainly champs) is easy and should be the minimum you should consistently obtain. And what's wrong farming in crystal lol. League and trophies mean nothing unless you're a trophy pusher, which I am not. Also I'm a new TH 10. There's no pride in being in champs as TH 10 lol, any noob can get there. Hell, you can barch to champs if you wanted to. Pride comes in war, not what league you farm in.Quote:

I remember when XBows could run out of arrows during an attack if they were locked onto something long enough.
I can remember when i decided to upgrade walls, then after 12 months of grinding hard they reduced lvl 10 and 11 by one million each piece and they thought it was fair!
Also when u could gem 1 barrack for 5gems instead of 30 for all six (even if your not making de troops...)
when having your army camps destroyed meant you lost ALL of the troops that had been built in them. Scary but true
