A question about using spells during trophy hunt.

In a couple of days my clan is going on a trophy push. I am a th9 lvl 92. I like using balloons and minions for trophy push and I don't gem troops. Balloons and minions take about 50min-1:10 to train but that not enough time to train a full spell factory (4 spells) (I know that at the moment we can speed up factory for 1 gem). Would it be worth it to train full spell factory and use 2 hr 45 min to train full spells?(1 lightning 3 rage, i have lvl 6 balloons 4 minions.)


What are your thoughts on this??? Thanks for the support and please comment below.:confused:

I'd say it is not worth it to raid with a full 4 spells and use them every time. That's just a waste of gold honestly. If you need 4 spells, you're doing something wrong. You're supposed to use spells to get you out of a tight jam. So I'd say no, go with whatever raiding strat you are comfortable with and then use spells as they are built. :)

I made it masters using 32 baloons rest minions. 2 rage one lightning. (I intentionally didnt use my fourth spot)

But since there is a boost i would use a third rage spell.

If you are seriously trophy pushing, then spells are a must, otherwise you'll quickly hit a ceiling where you just can't win without using them, and that ceilbing will be quite low, probably Crystal 2. With spells, you should be able to get somewhere into Masters, depending on how much time you have per session.

The 12 hour boost for 1 gem is amazing value - when I've used it, I try and start it around 7pm, then I get say 3-4 hours that night, and also an hour or two the next morning before work. So at most 1 gem per day - you can usually find more than one gem per day just by removing trrees etc.

For balloons and minions, you'll probably want 1 lightning, 2 rage, 1 heal. You might not need to use all four in every raid, but once you get to Crystal 1 and up using 3 per raid is affordable, and can be replenished in less time than your army, and all for 1 gem a day. In fact, it should be easily affordable - there's plenty of loot up there if you look around, and the loot bonuses start to get quite decent too.
