Today's Hay Day facebook post asks: "If you could add a new building to the Town, what building would that be?"
Is this a hint? Are we finally getting something new in Town? OMGoodness I hope so!

That would be cool.. will be a pain to rearrange my town though lol.
New shops don't really excite me because after a day or two it's just another shop/item/customer rinse & repeat. It's not new gameplay, so I don't really see the point. I'd rather they addressed the issues we have in town.
Everything I'd like is either 'Ruled out' (Pub) or too demanding on already pressed machines such as the dairy...
I agree with SmallChange but I still wouldn't mind a new building.
I want a new building that buy what you want to sell :-)
could be 10 of whatever you want to get rid of.
It opens up for some gamestrategy. You wan to serve as easyas possible- sell 10 wheat.
the shop gives rep points and coins accordingly to what you sell.
you want to go for xp? And its even a town-doublexp event? Sell them 10 Jellybeans and collect 20k xp from a single served townie:)
just been a themed derby and you got tons of spare strawberries? Np sell them to that shop
Or even better- a Roadsideshop for the town!
ever fully served townie also buy one crate each from that rss.
and off course it will be set as the normal rss. They will never buy any expansion tools/items.
and the beauty of this will be- only your neighbours can buy from that rss when they pick up townies at your platform.
That solves another highly requested feature in the game- a safe way to sell bem/sem/lem to your neighbours
I noticed that Facebook post too! But, to really add a new Town building I think something on the farm side would need to be added as well. It would be nice to give those who have all the farm buildings new items to unlock. Now that I have my tea stand, I can only wonder what more is there really for me to unlock other than some new items to make.
That being said, I still would like to see a pub with a distillery on the farm side. lol.
A bank would be a neat idea too. Instead of products, townies ask for coins. By serving them their desired coin amount, they will then go and visit two other buildings now that they have money! If you don't serve them, they just would leave. These townies would only be interested in the bank at first, so if you don't serve them there than they would not be able to go to any other building. That would give players a way to trade in coins for XP which I think would be a neat concept.
Holy moly! What a great idea! I have never seen this permutation of the request for special crates dedicated to neighborhood trading. I know that the global farming community can visit our towns to check treasure chests, but I imagine that access to the RSS there could be limited in the same way as access to the PT is limited to neighbors only. It might be tricky to have townies buying things, but there is definitely potential here.Quote:

I'm not interested in just getting another shop for the sake of having another cute building or for having buildings that are essentially decorative. What I do hope to see is one (or more) additions to the town that require different activities than simply serving townies. There are tons of threads out there with suggestions for this.
EDIT: I went over to the FB page to see what kind of responses SC was getting and it was very encouraging. The post has only been up 5 hours and it has gotten 3.6K responses--virtually all of them on point!!! This, if nothing else, should alert the design team that farmers really do want something to happen in town.
That 3.6K is at least double the number of responses received by any of the last several prompts (What animal would you like to be?:facepalm: Truck event...:p Do you like trains? When was the last time you were on one? Zzzz.)
If we got a new town building, we could very well get town hall, EGGspress train & personal train level ups too.
That would make the need for a Town Hall Overhaul even greater - as much as I want a new town building - we MUST get town improvements along with it.
I'd love a greengrocer, a shop where townies ONLY want to buy Silo goods. 200 wheat? Yes please? 30 Apples? Sure!
If there "must" be a new town shop, it should cater to the needs of you, high level players. I think that us, the little people have our hands full already with the shops that are available now. At least i do.
