hmmm it's always good to have friends in with you to start the clan and build up
have strong set requirements
do alot of recruiting forums/apps like clash tactics/global
lead well make sure you have authority and try to keep everything organised under control
it won't be easy finding active players just keep kicking until you find the right people it will take time but very rewarding in the end good luck!
Depending on where you are recruiting from, in the forums it can be hard to compete with well known clans, clans with well known COC players often are favoured and fill up faster, and clans with lots of members (Several clans) have a lot of branding on the forums, players usually flood to these clans.
But if you lay out a nice thread, don't spam other threads with check this link, get several players who are helping you to start a clan to join the forum to boost numbers, to help bump and spread the word.
Thats a good start.
If your recruiting from global, I'd suggest making yourself look great to attract many players, for example getting a masters badge, and letting players join, and kicking and refilling, till your clan is at a nice number.
Set minimums and rules early on in clan start up so players who join know what to expect.
Dont go alone, have a. COC friend? Get them to help a 1/50 clan is not desirable to join.

We've started a clan not long ago, but we are a feeder and had lvl 100+ helping us out, yet we still have problems with the occasional hopper. To start off try and find a couple trustworthy elders to help you out, then take your chance with global. You might find a couple diamonds in the rough. Once you hit a suitable amount of members you can start recruiting in the forums which takes lots of works since most clans here are great. Good luck with the clan!
Thanks for the feedback guys. And I am going to make a page on the forum once I get a solid number of members in my clan! But does anyone know how to add images and such to the clan page. I am not good at stuff like that so is there possibly another thread I can look at to learn how to make a clan page "pretty". And I love the COC forum community theyre all so helpful!!! :cool:
