whenever you reach like 35.000 dark elixir it happens --> cowards stealing dark elixir with p***y Lightning spell! Making it impossible to upgrade the Heros...

A Solution could not be easier: INFERNO TOWER PROTECTS STORAGES AGAINST LIGHTNING SPELLS WITHIN ITS REACH!
just against these spells! Got me?

But supercell does not solve this frustrating problem... Maybe its not of interest in commercial regards...

If you have inferno tower = You are TH10 = You should be at high trophy level such as Crystal = Rarely anyone will waste their lightning spells on DE Storage = PROBLEM SOLVED

And if they are cowards just revenge no point screaming !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Upgrade your DE drills and Storage to the MAX. Buy a week of Shield.

Another idea is get to the Crystal League and raid those who has over 100K of DE in the Bases.

Amen to that.

However I don't like the idea of Inferno Tower stopping it. Town Hall 9s are also massive lightning victims, why should they miss out on prevention?

There are many ways which could fix the problem, such as adding a lightning rod defence. Allowing Tesla's to absorb some lightning damage would work. Or simply giving storages immunity to the spell [say 50%] would also work.

Instead SuperCell ignore it again and again, and in fact just make it worse by giving an absurdly long spell boost via the spell factory...

Biggest problem in the game in my opinion. And it's quite annoying to see absolutely nothing done about it.*

*The pathetic HP increase a while back did nothing whatsoever to stop it.

The only coward I see is the town hall 9s and 10s contesting with 7s and 8s. You steal from them, nothing happens. They steal from you, you make a rage thread. Don't try say you aren't angry, them 3 red faces show it. You're constantly bullying them and they don't react, but they throw a few spells on your storage and you can't contain yourself?

And your solution... What about the people who use lightning spells how they were first intended? Castle troops, mortars, air defences etc. They can't drop them in the inferno tower's range because you're too low in trophies? Sorry but your solution isn't a good one. There already are solutions to this problem, but you and many other farmers don't want to rise in trophies and see your hours of work be damaged or taken away from you.

I don't think SC would get rid of this mega bug intentionally just save one player from quitting the game. Lightning Spell has only one purpose in the game, and all I think of you is wanting to make the game easier. Besides, SC already made an easy solution for players by refilling for their DE storage. If you can't effort paying for it, then you just got to find other way round to put some sweat on it.

Maybe you shouldn't be harassing the low levels at 1400 trophies.

Dude your trophies are too low, I'm a th8 and I usually stay on 1600-1900 trophies... Never had that problem

I understand completely, all that needs to be done is for lightning to be able to damage DE storages but not take away any actual DE. DE storages should be the only storages immune to lightning when it comes to actual loot being deducted. Simple. Why can't this be done?

Yep if you farm at a low trophy level for your town hall level, you deserved to get lightninged.

Stop. There is no way you are losing 3000 DE in one raid. And this also isn't an issue.

They should be like 80% resistant to electricity

Personally I always liked the idea of hidden teslas absorbing some lightning. Seems to make more sense than inferno.

I had it once, attacked a TH9 when i was TH7, he came back with maxed lightnings to me...I'm still laughing.

Increase the rank of your storage, the lightning will score a lot less. And it isn't that hard to stay ahead of the game, just trophy over 1600 or so and the lightning will reduce, and there will be more players with DE to hit. I have been capped at 200K DE for some time, and that's with maxing minions, ranking golem to 3, and now working on hogs. I lose easily 5K or more per day because I can't store it. I'm TH9, btw, and still a month or two from maxing.

Every once in a while i get a low ranked player that lightnings my de storage but i don't sweat it. I know that since my storage is maxed out they didn't get a whole lot, plus my two drills are maxed out so what they stole i can replace in mere hours, that and I can get it back with a few raids..play the game don't just sit back and lwt ur drills do the work thinking u aren't going to get lightninged..

It's no more a flaw than sitting at 1400 trophies at Th9 is. The people that complain about this are doing the same exact thing. They are raiding others that no hope of defending or revenging.

If you climb to crystal league no one will lightning your storage, but then of course you lose access to all of the easy targets.

I personally see lightning as a strategy, but there are two* viable solutions to this problem, one people are going to like more than others I think...

1. Give TH7s a DE drill FOR GODS SAKE!- This is the reason why TH7s lightning DE, they have crappy level 4 troops which aren't going to get into the core of that maxed TH8/TH9/TH10 base of yours, the only way to get the barb king started easily, is by lightning DE storages, or picking off drills from inactives which you don't see every raid. I would say you can only have a level 1 Drill at TH7, no further upgrades till TH8.
2. Another alternative which I think would change up gameplay a bit is to have teslas absorb lightning attacks. Why this will change gameplay? Well people will start centralizing teslas which changes base designs or, putting teslas near the mortar/wizard tower combo. You know how they can both be destroyed for the price of one by lightnings if you put them near each other? Well problem solved by putting a tesla near the mortar/wiz tower. Also, if someone tries to lightning your clan castle troops, if a tesla is in range it will absorb some of the splash. The tesla's location will be showing if it absorbs a lightning spell, and it will not be damaged. This will change many base designs. Also, this will give people incentives to upgrade their teslas. The higher the level, the more it can absorb. The lowest being 10% @LVL 1, the highest being 85% @LVL7

*I just actually thought of this one but what if we could buy bubble shields that we can put on top of buildings? These bubble shields will protect the building from spells. So for example, if someone put a rage spell on a building with a bubble shield on it, the rage spell part covering the bubble shield will be cut. If someone tries to lightning a building with a bubble shield, it will bounce the lightning back on a random part of the base, which can hinder a defender, or help a defender. These bubble shield traps would go away once it has defended against TWO spells. The cost would by ~40-50k gold (protecting buildings ain't cheap) and the max a TH10 could have would be ~4-6.

1. No. DE works perfectly now. The higher your TH level the more access you have to it. If only gold and elixir worked this way.

2. No. If they choose to go this route I'd rather the spell was just removed entirely, because it would become essentially useless.

yes and no because you should be glad they are not able to steal all your de and you probably don't like it when they lighting your de storages but also you people should stop looking at the negative side that you lost a couple hundred de or a thousand de if your that good you should be able to get it all back in 1-2 raids

That would be fine if I had a way of defending against it-the way I do with gold and elixir. But I can't. The issue lies there. Not to mention that they are completely safe from revenge due to loot penalties.

I'm at TH 9 and I raid HT7 and 8. They lightning my DE all the time. Its just part of the game if your a farmer. Be happy and move on. :cool:

well any one that gets there de lighting should be glad that supercell lowered the damage of the lighting spells and did not keep it at the same damage it had before or right now the loss of de by lighting spells would be much greater

The fix for this problem, raising trophies works. Just because one person says they get thored in crystal in a thread doesnt mean that it doesn't work. Ive seen it work. Ive been there for it to work. Raise your trophies and it stops. Staying in gold, attacking lower th's and expecting farming immunity is not fair and all you gold th10 farmers are always whining to be tougher, to be immune to everything. Go up in trophies. Please someone sticky the fix!! Its easy to do. Leave gold. Dont farm silver or gold. Is this getting through to you????!?!?!??!?

Too bad, we high lvls need to develop put defences and its not protifable to hunt at crystal. The lower lvls sometimes act like its their range and we should just go trophy hunt. TH10s have a MASSIVE loot penalty and thats something you can NEVER argue against. You think TH10s demolish everyone in gold league and receive good cash and they have very tough defences. See it from our perspective: an undefendable strike that steals DE . Even if the base is impregnable to lower lvls the still find a way past that.

Hello people,

Lately I get attacked so often by them lightening spells and always lose a lot of Dark elixir. Which for me is quite annoying as I have to farm a lot to get it!
Maybe an idea is to put an extra expansion method. Not only to expand in storage-space but also in protection against spells. Specificly the lightening spell.
Let us say that for 3 million gold you can upgrade your storage to ignore 25% of the damage done by the lightening spell. Less damage means less loot taken! For 5 million it could be 50% And you can go on like this untill 70 to 90%.

the game is not ment to light strike bases for cheap dark elixir. Which that player actually worked hard for to get. Its ment for full attacks. It is a pitty that we can not defend ourselves against these lame attacks.

The "lower levels" act like it's their range because it is their range. The way the trophy system was designed was that "lower levels" face "lower levels", and "high levels" face "high levels". If you are being lightninged, you are too low in trophies (unless it was by the same TH as you or higher).

Look, you can't have it both ways. If you want to prey on easy bases in gold, then you cannot complain about being lightning striked.

That's something you can NEVER argue against.

supercell already rise the hit points on DE storage.

I agree totally with this post. I am a level 9 townhall, and an a victim of this as well. I am not a premature base. I maxxed out everything before I moved up, yet no matter where I am in trophy level, I get someone who doesn't care and takes my Dark Elixir.

I feel that there is a simple correction to this problem......

there is no need for an inferno tower to "block" the spells, or anything else of that nature.

Just make it that the Dark Elixir Storage alone. absorbs 50% of the damage of the lightning spell only.

This should stop the people from just dropping 2-4 spells and leaving, as well as at the end of the battle just to get the last of the DE.

It also doesn't overpower anything, and is gained as soon as you purchase the DE storage. I feel this is the best and easiest solution, as well as one that doesn't only apply to higher level game play, and also works in every ones favor.

Any suggestions or ideas to this?

A lot of your DE losses are your own doing!!

1) People already mentioned how low your trophies are. You chill in the low levels, you gonna get zapped

2) Why cover your TH with BK, a cannon, and an Archer Tower??? If your TH is completely unprotected, the average farmer probably would do you a favor and give you a free shield, as I would. As it is, most people would probably skip your base. End result? DE farmers hit you.

Put your TH all the way in the corner... surround it with all the pretty decorations to show that there are no teslas around. Beg it to be hit. Then see what happens to your DE being lightninged (that's gotta be a word, I know it :p). You might still get zapped occasionally, but the difference will be huge.

And then come back and apologize for the misdirected anger lol.:cool:

You are a pretty developed TH9 at 1,480 cups, praying on the weak, with TH partially out. Move that TH to a corner and raise cups. Otherwise, zappety zap zap.

From a TH7 prospective...
Think back the days when you were TH7... and think how hard it was to raid for DE... DE around TH7 was hard to find unless you climb the trophy ladder. At the higher trophy count you probably lucky to raid 100 DE and just remember you need 10K to get the Barb King...

I'm ♥♥♥♥ at the game because I'm not capable of raiding TH levels at the same level as me. I have a strong defence and its tough for lower THs to raid me if they wanted revenge but its easy for me to raid them. I'll just drop my trophy count and farm/raid them for gold...

Higher THs stay beyond the reach of lower THs so you won't get zapped. That way the TH7s will have to raid for there DE. Stop calling lowers cowards because they zapped you, as you're the coward for dropping trophies to farm/raid lowers as you're not able to raid THs levels of the same level or higher as yourself...

There is no skill in dropping lightening spells on DE is no different to no skill required in farming lower THs...

If you stop playing, can you put your storages, mine and collectors to one side, so that the lower THs can reclaim what you've farmed from them.. :) don't say you haven't farmed them, we can clearly see your farming army in the screenshot... and the level your at... :)

The solution is a roof,

Well said! My take on this is that a) People are short sighted and can't see very much beyond their own farming habits (i.e. my tactics are okay, but when you use tactics I don't like, that's not right) b) people are having an emotional and "moral" reaction to something because they can't control it. The TH9s and 10s feel they have earned the right to near invulnerability because they have black walls and strong defenses, and getting around that with a few lightning strikes is "evil". It's not evil, it's a way to get ahead.

I'm a Th9 and I applaud the tactic for one very good reason: CoC is a game of bullies. The strong raid the weak to get ahead. So the strong are complaining because the weak figured out how to ♥♥♥♥ them off and get ahead a bit.

Have you noticed that you don't get DE drills until TH8 but storage and a barb king at TH7... that because SC wants you raid! Hey what a good idea, blast storages to get DE so you can get your barb king. Why the heck not? You think it's cheap? It's not cheap! It's 60,000k! And you risk a retaliation.

Get over yourselves. At TH9 I have no trouble accumulating DE because 1) I maxed my drills and 2) I raid as well! I can do this because raiding allows me to do so.

This is a game mechanic and it's intentional and should not be changed. Get over yourselves and play.

Till date i have filled up my 80k DE storage twice and im half way done for the third. All thanks to SC for the 1gem boost to spells! Lightning DE has been an awesome!

It's just part of the game. I've lost 12k DE in 24hrs before. But just suck it up n raid back my DEs. Manage to farm 35k DE for that day even after getting raided by those people.

Finally found the post that was quoted constantly. And do you notice something? 2 of those 3 attacks are actually from town hall 8 players, lv 5 spells/troops.

The perception that it is simply a case of new TH7 players vs TH9 & TH10 farmers is wrong.

It's very easy for town hall 8s to hang around Crystal leagues to unleash this tactic. So hiding in higher leagues isn't the solution either. It may reduce it happening a bit, but won't eliminate it.

I am almost maxed hall 8 and I could make around 1,000 DE doing this against hall 10s. Particularly during a spell boost weekend that is awfully tempting. I haven't done it because I prefer rage to get more - but again it is tempting and I could very easily sit in Crystal and thor all of you. With the spell boost weekend you could easily make around 2,000DE an hour with this. That is far too much for a strong hall 8 to be able to get that much DE with just spells alone.

I can live with TH7's doing it as they are new to DE and haven't yet quite mastered how to crack the big boys bases. The DE storage boost wasn't enough to prevent the tactic remaining quite profitable. Which is why I think something needs to be done to result in less DE per strike of lightning; one way or another.

Well, you are getting shields since people are 1 starring you. You must be breaking the shields, and choosing not to raid to make up the lost dark elixir. After any one of those attacks, you should easily make up the loss in 1-2 raids.

SC doesn't want people to sit on resources, so if you aren't raiding to make up the difference, then it's your own fault that you are bleeding DE.

Well I just see it as part of the game. If you want to avoid it, go up in higher leagues. If it still happens, hey free trophies and you just raised higher.

In my experience its mainly lower lvl players that snipe your DE. If yo remove the loot penalty on revenge they will learn the hard way that there is no such thing as a free ride...

At this point it makes no sense at all for me to revenge a th7... Often 8 as well due to the loot penalty...

this a part of this game so deal with it. But here a simple suggestion which i generally do is revenge on those players to get back the some amount of DE lost so that the net loss is minimum😄😄👍

You can't buy a shield every time you go off line. They have a cool down period to specifically prevent that.

Revenging typically nets you no where near what was stolen. Disparities in the amount stored and the loot penalty prevent it. When a th7 lightnings a th10 they get a 200% bonus. When th10 revenges back they can only get 5% of the available total. So if the th10 has 40k de in storage the th7 might get 1500. If the th7 has only 10k in storage, the amount available to steal will be 500 and of that, a th10 can only steal 25.

I don't particularly care about the DE issue much, but I will still refute nonsense.
