Older clashes and finding a clan to recover in....farmer's bootcamp?
Does anyone know if there are a good number of truly older clashers….say 40 – 60 years old? Does it matter in the clan world? I know that the clans are often very clearly defined between kids and adults….but do you think there is any natural grouping of the truly older clashers? (Which on a different note, has lead me to wonder about the about the age range of the youngest serious players (not adults) playing this game??) but not to digress...
I bring up this topic because I am an older clasher who is looking for a clan. I am somewhat hesitant to join a clan due to the fear that I won’t find a group that I connect with and I am not interested in hopping around the clash world. The other concern that I have is that I have a major recovery to make in the next few months from a very premature th7/8/9. So I am looking for a clan that understands my mistakes, likes to laugh, loves this game, wants to progress and has experience or knowledge about recovering from a previous bad case of clashing impatience.
I started clashing when my son wanted to start a clan and had a hard time recruiting. He taught me how to play the clash and I got hooked. However, I did not heed his warning about upgrading my town halls too soon. I was just having fun watching the attacks and defenses and never thought about the future and whether I would really be interested in clashing for any real period of time (besides supporting him). I made my base purely for the fun and art of it - - and it probably needs to be changed.
For the last month my son is not as interested in playing accept to keep his clan going and often wants me to play out his troops/raids and be a donation machine with kids who have about the same inconsistent interest that he does. I have obliged but it is getting old. He has many other games that don’t leave him loyal to clashing. I on the other hand am quite taken with the game and at least want to finish what I started with some satisfaction (would you stop after one trip around the monopoly board?)
This has taken some courage to write….because from my brief perusal of the threads in the last few days, it seems that players who post here at the forum are well… awesome…. and have played the game with finesse from the start – or have the gift of strategy. So, please bear with me and have a sense of humor and tact if you respond to this.
Ok….so basically I am looking for a farmer’s bootcamp - - for the ‘aged’ yet persistent clasher, who is in a mess and wants to recover with a clan who keeps it light, fun, loves to laugh. I can be an active donator and I certainly am striving to make some serious progress. I am willing to continue the ‘good fight’ on my own (maybe that's the dues I need to put in) and just figure it out myself… but I thought I would throw it out on the forum.
Sincerely,
August Rush
~ currently clashing clanless with visits to my kid and his friends but needing to take it to the next level.
Oh yea….and thank God for the donation competition this week - because that has been a great help and one hell of a ride!
Hope I get this right: I am at lvl 75 with the following: Very very very premature - TH9, gold and pink walls, 4 lvl 8 AT, 4 lvl 4 WT, 4 lvl 4 AD, 3 lvl 5 Mort, 2 lvl 8 Cannon/2 lvl 9 Cannon in progress, BarbK2, ArchQ2, 4 Wicked teslas. I have lvl 5 archers and giants with a mixture of lvl 4 gobs, barbs, wallbreakers…etc ,etc.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
