Very true Confuzed, this idea would hopefully inspire better clan loyalty, unity, participation, and general activeness. It would make being in a clan more worthwhile, besides the social aspect and just donations. Clan Quests and Donation Quests would add a lot I'd feel like.

they should seriously consider being able to donate more to your team than just troops, that way it will make stronger team bonds and make it much more interesting... it may also reduce clan hoppers

You are too kind my good sir :) As far as donating more, do you mean things like resources or spells? If so, those have actually been ruled out in the sticky since they could be easily abused (more so the resources part). But I like your thinking as far as thinking of ways to reduce hoppers and benefit clan participation, something I love brainstorming about!
Yes Ieu, I haven't heard directly from SC in this thread, but have heard through private messages that they really like this idea and it's being highly considered. Jonas the developer even mentioned this idea in a Chief Pat developer interview video. In my opinion, this idea is much safer than Clan Wars for the team to make. Clan Wars, while being something practically everyone wants, could turn out to really benefit the game, but it could hurt it if done incorrectly. This idea (trying to look through unbiased glasses) is very safe and hard to mess up as far as causing people to quit. It's because it adds a lot of new challenges and elements to gameplay, but doesn't change the core of the game. I think SC knows that and like Village Edit Mode, can know that it's a big update (that everyone is begging for) and that everyone would like it (well, mostly everyone lol).
please keep us updated on the status of what is going to happen to it... I want this in the game

This is so awesome, I completely agree that you deserve a huge amount of gems for giving SC such a great idea! I fully support everything on here and think it would be a crime if it wasn't implemented! If SC ignores this, that would be absolutely insane, as this is really really good! SC should hire you to help come up with ideas for the game! I was thinking "This is legit" up till the point where I saw the special witch statue, then I seriously started jumping up and down with excitement, I don't know, it just seemed to actually register with me how awesome this was. I'm going to add my own two cents to this:
Quest rankings--
Whoever (or the top three) completes the most quests is given a special gift, (gems? a decorative statue?) and rankings would be able to be viewed. A player could view his own rank, the rank of any other player by viewing the profile, and the top 200. This would correspond with the seasons system (resets after every 2 weeks).
If you have any other ideas to add to this, please reply, as I think it would be a great addition to this phenomenal idea!

It might be already posted, as I haven't had enough time yet to read all 73 pages :) but the amount of creativity is great! You should do another reply to this post with more stuff you think should be implemented! It's too sad that there's only 25k characters, they are limiting creativity (lol).
I'll be honest, I cant stop reading this idea! I just love it, and I keep getting excited if supercell will implement it. You sir are truly a "Mastermind". Hopefully supercell is looking over this to get this idea implemented:)

I understand both of your reasonings, but I think the wheel is a good way to add a bit of chance in the game. People get to do quests and have a long-term reward! But, I think that the luck is a bit unfair, as people wouldn't spin the wheel much. My answer to this is that there would be a system that, if someone spun 10 or so times, they would have to get something great like a resource collector.
Another slight flaw is that if you get something great like a trophy-push feature that you don't need (farming ahem!), that would be wasted. Perhaps a feature where you set your preferences (farming, trophy-hunting) and the wheel shifts the chances more? The shifted chances would only be for temporary bonuses, not to be used as a way to get the extra collectors faster.
I'm sorry if I'm spamming up this thread, I'm reading all these posts, and I feel the need to add so much that could make it even more phenomenal!
There should be an in-game survey about this.

Good idea with the rankings! I'd love to see more rankings (if the server would allow it) to not only trophies, but gold/elixir, attacks won, defenses won, etc. And Quests could fit in well too! I love stats and rankings and would love to see more :D

I understand that the supercell has a lot of work to do but at least an answer "is a nice idea, congratulations!" Or "you did a good job,good"...but nothing!
The work he did mastermind is in my opinion, VERY GOOD!

About getting quest jewels at lower trophy levels, to guard from people exploiting it that way, how about marking each quest jewel with a hidden bit of code that shows which league it was obtained at? Then the Wheel would correspond and shift the chances just a bit according to which leagues the jewels were obtained at.
Just another way to guard against that, there's a solution for every infinitesimal flaw here :).
I read it all and i must say the originality and thought put behind this is astonishing. To those who decided not to read it all i suggest you go back. Although if there was one thing i wouldn't like it would be the balloons carrying the quests. I feel it would change the overall look of the average players base too much. At the moment we have a total green boundary with the sea as well. If there were to be multiple balloons on the bottom of the screen it would alter the look completely. Again that would be a small adjustment i would make. I absolutely love everything about this suggestion except for the look of how the quests are delivered. Fantastic job!;)
would add so much more meaning to go on every day with meaning rather then the 5 minutes of collecting resorces and raiding. The one small thing i saw, and theres a great chance im reading wrong but why would the 50 gem spin info be grayed out intell you get 50 gems? i think having it able to read at any time i better, therefor you know what these gems do.

Good idea Bob! I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement, but great solution! That would prevent people from gaining a lot of trophies before they spin the Wheel for a higher reward. Or simply... the values on the Wheel could only be for just TH level and not trophy level.
I don't think they should be able to be purchased, however... I wouldn't knock on SC for making them purchasable. If they did though, there would definitely need to be a cap on the number of times the wheel could be spun, at around once every 2-3 weeks in my opinion.
Really appreciate it Brown! Thanks for the kind words :) And I agree with your statement of the balloons being distracting. The way I made it could easily be changed and not effect the core idea. Whether the ballons were smaller, changed into goblins that congregated in a hut (that could be bought with Gems almost as an expansion pack for SC, as a poster mentioned), or honestly any way would be fine with me.
They ruled out donating resources, which I agree with. However, the idea I made for the wheel of winning resources for your clan mates (a small amount and not very often) is not ruled out. I really like the idea and if this idea was implemented the way I have it, I would really want this feature to stay! I believe it would add a lot to clan participation, quest participation, and clan unity if you could win resources for your clan.
Very detailed and informative! This whole game presentation would add a real spark back to this game as it is becoming a bit dull. I've been playing this game since day 1. Now it's getting a wee bit dull. Your idea is spot on! I really like the detailed breakdown of what each individual player has accomplished. Appreciate the clarification Lachan. For the actual Quest rewards in general (not wheel rewards) I think it should be a combination of TH level and trophy level. I think encouraging trophy level is a good thing in the game and the reason there are farmers is because the loot is so much better as a farmer (and it's easier as a farmer, which I am one). Small bonuses from leagues and quests would help promote trying to move up on the trophy lists (which is something that SC would want, as those are usually the people who by gems more often).
The wheel rewards are a bit more tricky. If it were based on trophies (in addition to the default TH level) and having higher trophies meant higher level of rewards, then people could be low trophies to farm Quest Jewels easier (although at the sacrifice of better individual Quest rewards) and then trophy push right before they spin the wheel. To prevent this abuse, a poster recently (could have even been you or ice, forgot who) made a suggestion to put a small line of code in each completed Quest to let the system know what trophy level the player was at when each Quest was performed and completed, and then average it out to give an appropriate and fair value for the wheel rewards. This would be the most fair, but complicated solution (not sure how difficult it would be to program that).
The most simple solution would be to make only TH level affect wheel rewards and not trophy level to prevent abuse. Although I think it would be more difficult for high trophy pushers to complete quests, therefore they deserve a higher end reward. At the same time however, the choice is with the player: try to trophy push and get higher league rewards, get higher Quest rewards vs being a farmer with better loot per raid and possibly an easier time getting to the wheel. Games with choices are games that stay, I have found. CoC already let's the player choose, and this would add a new dimension and wrinkle to that choice.
I've been inactive for quite awhile and I'm just coming back to the game so i just saw this now. I can only say one thing: THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME. I think some of the rewards should be adjusted, especially the loot based ones (i personally think they are too small) but as you said they could be changed by SC at will. Your ideas are always awesome, but this one just blew everything away. Good job man.

Just finished reading, and I really like this idea, but SC should raise the amount of gems for the reward, 5 gems is not even enough to boost a low gold mine, let alone help out even a little with tasks.

Thanks Jack! I think 5 gems is appropriate for a Daily Reward for a TH8 low trophy farmer (as in th example). If the person was say TH8 and in Crystal 1-2 then I'd say the reward could go to more around 7-8. I really think trophy level should affect rewards in a very good way. Remember, there are Weekly and Monthly Rewards which would need to scale with Daily Rewards, so the higher the Daily Reward, the higher the others and I'm not sure SC would want to give away a lot of free gems. I'd be all for getting more free gems (besides obstacles and the rare achievement) but there could be 5 Quests done a day, every day, with Weeklies and Monthlies, so it would have to be balanced.
But I'd be all for more if they did it. Just stating as a business decision, I don't think they would go higher.
This is the best idea on the forums it is logical and does not really seem to have any possibility of abuse. Further and most importantly it would add another fascinating aspect to coc which would be great. SC this is gold get around it. Well done mate ripper of an idea.

The gem percentage should be lower because think 5% in one but u do 5 a day u get 25% chance of it occurring in each week meaning the quantity of gems that would be inserted into the game would be very large so maybe reduce the number but i love the overall idea
Would love to see this happen! Full support over here! It would make the game much more interesting and active, particularly at higher levels where things tend to slow down.

True Bfoz, but that just means 25% each day (if all 5 Quests were done) of receiving just 5 gems. Hardly game-breaking in my opinion. You can currently get that from 2 obstacles, with a max of 9 a day (from newly spawned obstacles).

Ok. I have a question. If I spin the wheel and land on DE, what if my clanmates don't have DE storages?
This is amazing. I think that this may be one of the best ideas I've ever read on this forum. This fixes many of the common requests you see! (boredom, mini games, something different, extra $, etc...) If implemented it would give that spark that clash of clans needs in order to bring it to the next level. It would hook me even more, and get many worn out clashers back to the game! I honestly hope that sc puts this is. Thanks for all of your great work mastermind!

And very good question Nelly! The clan mates who don't have a DE storage would not get anything in your scenario. OR Supercell could make it so gold was rewarded to them instead, but a very minor amount. Although I don't think they should receive anything since it should specifically be DE.

I am relatively new to COC and this is by far the best idea I have seen posted. I read the forums quite often too. I like how you have included difficulty of quests to both areas, Trophy count and Town Hall size. I was thinking about a prize that would be very rare.. maybe add it to the wheel as a very small section. Thus making it very rare and hard to land on. The prize would be a bag/pouch of regular gems. The amount in the bag/pouch would vary as it would be calculated on a multiplier type counter that starts at say 5 or 10 and runs upward to say top amount available in a single purchase, ( I do not recall what that amount is, sorry) .
Basically if a player does land on that spot a big green gem appears and the player can tap it to start the counter, it randomly goes through the numbers of minimum to maximum at lightning speed and will stop randomly or when the player stops it, which ever system is chosen to activate and stop...it can be automatic or manual. I personally think its an idea that could boost non-gem paying customers incentive to play and try to win a good amount of gems. Thus if won helping them move further along and advancecreating more competition in the game.
Again love your idea here and an awesome job. You got my vote to implement it into COC. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you like the idea and the idea of trophy count acting as a measurement of potential rewrds, which I agree would be very important to encourage pushing. Interesting suggestiong about the gems, can you explain it a little more? Is it similar to one of the rewards on the wheel I have already (Gems)? Is it a separate spin itself to see how many you'd get?

I was a thinkin something a little more than just a few gems that can be won. My idea was a desperate spot as you already designated but this would be a small sliver on pie of the wheel, very small portion and very hard to land on. The reward would be a bag of gems that would be given by whatever amount the person lands upon on a automated random generator that goes from say 10 or 20 all the way up to a couple thousand or whatever. Kind of like a roll of the dice. The automated generated will randomly run thru all numbers from lowest to highest at lightning speed, numbers will be out of order and totally random. The player can stop it at any point and whatever it stops on they get that amount of gems...it could be a small amount or a big amount as if they just spent a ton of money on. But the chance of landing on this space would be 1-2% on entire wheel. So odds will be slim many will land on it but be snuff to stake a chance to try . As you said spending 50 quest gems for a chance on the wheel making more eager to be involved, play and interact. Hope this clarifies what you are inquiring. I don't know if you would count this seperate from the mentioning of winning gems only as you spoke of or the winning of sets of both kinds of gems or the mixture of specific rewards along with gems.
Question I did have and not sure it was included in your post of possible rewards, did you include items like additional towers,cannons, wizard towers, mothers, and the like defenses and at different levels? Say a chance to win a lvl 7 defends item or what ever level. This would give lower lvl players a chance to win and win and add an item of defends above what they are at. Possibly encouraging them to carry on the struggle knowing they won an item that could improve their chances of survival during a raid.

Thanks for clarifying it better MasterMerlin! A couple things to note: it's already similar to the Gem reward I included on the Wheel. Are you suggesting to have more Gems than what I put and specifically make that reward a varying number? Could be cool, but just different from how I think it should be. Also, Gems are tricky in that the reward shouldn't be sky high, as SC won't make a super high gem reward. It's possible, but from a business perspective it wouldn't be in their best interest, unfortunately :(
As far as including extra defense items as Wheel Rewards, that would be too much and too overpowered. Even having an extra mine is controversial but extra defense would make the wheel too powerful in my opinion. Again if SC did it I wouldn't complain, but I'm just writing as if I were an SC employee. Now... a temporary tower could be a fun alternative! Possibly something that lasts 5 days to a week :)

Not sure if this has been metioned before, but I thought maybe there could be like a "super" wheel of riches.
Basically this would be like a regular wheel of riches except with bigger and better rewards.
I was thinking maybe if you saved up a high amount of quest jewels (without spinning the regular wheel) you could have a chance at spinning the "super" wheel. Alternatively there could be a tiny part of the regular wheel which would allow you to spin the super wheel. Might be a bit too much, but hey.
Also I was thinking that there could be some sort of "respin" token that you could get from spinning the regular wheel.
For example, you spin the wheel and get a respin token. That is your spin for the 2 weeks or whatever.
However, the next time you spin the wheel but don't land on a prize you want, you could use the respin token to spin again in hopes of getting the desired prize. You could also possibly save up the tokens to respin many times at once. Again, it might be a bit too much, but hey, this is just my take on things.
Amazing idea though and I really hope SuperCell puts something like this in the game.
