I used to play an iOS game called 'We Rule', which has been discontinued.
They added a 'Quests' mechanism to their game, which would give various rewards.
There were varying triggers for these quests, such as placing an item, reaching a certain level, harvesting an item, or even completing other quests.
There were some quests chains that were very elaborate (20+ quests, which upon completion, trigger the next quests in the chain). The reward for completing these chains was a special item, to place in your village, such as a building or a statue, which could only be acquired by completing the quest.
In addition to Mastermind's Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Holiday Quests, I would also welcome these event-triggered quests in COC.
I love the idea of quests, to give the game some spice, and something to occupy people while waiting for stuff to build, which can be very tedious at higher levels.
