Wheat

Never thought I'd ever ask but where's the wheat? That's retorhical because I get it. But it is surprising. I go thru 12 wheat bundles a day and the those take a lot of wheat and time to make. I never plant it because it's so easy to get. My fields are full of indigo for a derby task. So noticing I was down to 1 wheat and being out of wheat bundles I went shopping. Didn't go so well. It took me 30 minutes to get enough to get 1 wheat bundles loaded. Not a complaint. I found it comical actually and gave me a chuckle. Another unexpected hurdle to jump. Love this game :)

I've been fortunate to find some, although not much in the DD. Even regular wheating friends have not had much for sale this week.

So can anyone tell me, have all these different crop tasks in the special derbys put a kink in the bots ability to sell and not get caught?

I have yet to come across a good harvest task in my NB, which allows me to wheat all day. You can always stop at my shop during the day if you're looking for wheat, it's usually stocked with plenty of wheat.
Besides wheat being stocked through the day, I always leave a full shop of goodies before I head to bed.

I've seen a few wheat bots today, but they are few and far between - maybe one in every 2-3 newspapers

wheat is as rare as potatoes and potatoes are the new wheat! There are lots of tomatoes, which I do not mind at all.

i have only seen 2 task of 400 points... the cornucopia Baskets. Regular flow of 320 plus points for us.

i have not noticed the bots.

I've had a few papers with NO wheat! Like you, I rarely grow it.

People aren't growing wheat because of the derby. I did 2 "cornucopia" (corn, potato,tomato) tasks and couldn't take it anymore! I'm a wheater, so now I'm just taking town derby tasks, or maybe a quick harvest task, to be able to wheat. If I have more wheat than I need, I won't sell the it to the little visitors, I'll sell it in my shop if people need it so badly...

Nevermind Wheat ...it's Soy that can't be found anywhere right now lol...it's all indigo and tomatoes and spuds. :smirk:

I also hardly ever grow wheat as its usually to be found cheap and in abundance but blimey OP I do agree, at the moment its tricky getting ahold of the 'basic' stuff to keep the farm running.
Wheat and Corn is scarce, but Carrots and soy are practically unattainable right now I find.

I also did two cornucopia tasks and no more😬😂. They seem to be the only 400 tasks around and not that often either. I sell wheat too as well as other crops. I have been lucky I think and have been able to find crops I needed.

Usually I sell 1000's of soybeans a day. In a couple of hours, I'll start doing that again, since there's demand for it. And carrots, good idea!

Thanks Wussypuss, holiday was awesome! And now I'm growing more tomatoes and potatoes than I ever thought I would. LOL!

Most of our 400 point tasks have been the cornucopia basket. This Harvest derby is starting to make the one with all the strawberries look like a breeze!

I'm glad that bots are on the decrease. So if I need to put up with a derby that may be less than optimum fun to keep the bots at bay, I will.

I do wish that the cornucopia basket had a few different combinations of crops.

It seems any time the derby has tasks that focus on crops it puts a strain on products players become accustomed to seeing in the DD.
I take advantage of it and buy up those crops players are selling at default just to get rid of and then pass them off to the farm visitors for profit. I bought my tea hut this week and my coins dropped to a scary amount of 600 :facepalm:. I have been able to flip a 200k coin profit so far this derby (while still doing all my tasks) with this tactic, so it has been nice to get my coin balance back up while still giving me something to do in the DD.

As for wheat, if players need it, stay in a rss of a player who is wheating for a few additional minutes. Eventually, they will put up more. That is what I have been doing for wheat.

Same here. I had to go through several newspapers before I could find enough wheat to make my bundles. I assumed it was the derby so I just waited it out.

I am a passionate grinder/wheater. My hoodies are awesone and allow me to pick all the harvest tasks i want, plus the production ones. When i do production, i "wheat" whatever crop my hoodies need the most, usually soybean and corn. Yesterday and today its wheat. Seemed odd at first, wheat is always easy to find, but after reading this thread, i now know better. Corn and wheat are easy and quick, soy takes longer, so, while waiting, i go fishing...or blogging in here lol.
I am following a farm i believe being a bot, just to learn how they operate. Currently it's stall is full of wheat, also visually the silo seems full as well, and all fields are full of ripe wheat. No idea why it is stuck like that. Maybe it is unable to advertise? Whatever, im glad they are having problems. I never buy wheat from bots, now have almost 80 plots and for my wheat needs, it just takes 2 minutes to get 80 wheat, plus 80xp and 1-2 tools.

I usually sell wheat as an advertisement for my helped-marked crates. But the wheat got bought so fast...poor my helped-marked crates :(
Lesson learned... this week tomatoes are better than wheat for my crates. Indigos are far more better :D
