Yeah its an expansion permit. You can open the deco land with it. But unless you have access to a deco plot you can't see how many you have. So since they are so hard to collect I say keep saving as many as you can and then open all the land at once. :)
The 2 rightmost special expansions bordering the road both require permits, thus everyone can see how many permits one has.
There's some land where there's a deco in it. Like the tree swing. You have to collect the regular expansion items, but you have to also collect the expansion permits (or scrolls, as some people call it), which is what you described. Hay Day calls it expansion permits. After I got enough for the tree swing, I gave up! After the puzzle piece thing started, you hardly saw the expansion permits! But I'm not even able to collect the puzzle pieces anymore. Its impossible. I give up. I think I'll just let my elephant die of loneliness!!!
My current boat is a puzzle boat. It had those products that were on lettuce leaves. I think its made in the hot dog stand, which I don't have. So I set that up for help. But I don't have cheese for the cheesecake. And no milk for the cheese. And my cows are dead, cuz I don't have soybean for the cows. So no milk, no cheese, no butter, no cream. My pigs and sheep are also dead, cuz their feed also needs soybean.
So anyway, that boat will leave without it being totally filled, and I would be losing, yet, another puzzle boat.
I have 18 puzzle pieces for the beige giraffe and 4 for the grey hippo. I give up. I'm not going to keep trying for these things, when I can't get them. Its pathetic and disappointing. I get my hopes up and then it comes all crashing down.
If I happen to finish a boat that has a puzzle piece in it, great! But I'm not going to get my hopes up. I can't even get up to the 4th level again for the derby for the puzzle piece. That's where the puzzle piece shows up for me, but haven't gotten that high.
For the last week of July and the first week of August, I kept getting disconnected from Hay Day, so one time I got demoted on derby, and the second time, I stayed on that level. Every time I get to expert level, I get demoted to professional level. Was never on expert level twice. And never got to champion level!
Thanks for that tip! I had all my land expanded up to the point where the new land was added during the last big update. I wondered how newer farmers who still have a lot of "regular" plots to open would be able to tell how many expansion permits (scrolls) they have in storage.Quote:

It would be nice if SC planted the scarecrow somewhere so that they could use if for a "farming tutorial" like we get (all too often) when we tap something in the fishing area. Alternatively, it could contain a link to the farm expansion topic of the help menu. I'm sure there are a lot of farmers out there who don't come to the forums and haven't figured out what the "scrolls" do.
