Let me give you a example. Say you are at 100 trophies and you raid someone with 115 trophies. Lets say that you win and get 30 trophies. But, the opponent would only loose 1 trophy, or so i have heard. This means that trophies were put into the game. So, to explain this, before the raid, there was 215 trophies combined between the 2 players, but after the raid, there was 244 trophies. So, in this single attack there was a gain of 29 to COC. So, if this happens many times, which it obviously does, players would then have more trophies than in the past. I hope this helps you out.
