How does this happen?

Just wondering how someone gets to number 173 in the world with this setup?

By constantly attacking and utilising shields. He/she will get 3 starred no matter what, so he/she have to make up for it by attacking heaps. Once again, this shows how little use defenses actually are compared to offense.

Cheeter maybe? This could be some top guy's second or third account for all I know...

EDIT: Of course it is. The guy wanted to save as much money $$$ as possible on gems for a second account... no need to dump $1000 on walls and defenses.
