I'm new here, and only here at the request of the OP, since some of you guys have noticed her status change. She can see the forum, but apparently cannot post. I'm in her NH, and I can tell you she's hopping mad about the ban. I'm posting here for her (and will likely be banned for it, I'm guessing), at her request, because she says she is being completely ignored by the mods in her attempt to get her status changed and her account reinstated.
For reasons that don't matter here, she was concerned about her privacy and decided it was time to make the leap and change her account. (Evidently something about it points to her real life which she wants kept private.) So, she was trying to set up a new account here, and even copied our recruitment ad over to it, with the intent of deleting the old account once eveything was complete. She says rather than the usual "click to confirm" email she instead got a message here that the mods had to review something. So, she waited. Next morning both accounts were "banned for life". (Personally, I think that's amazingly rude and irresponsible.) It's evidently against some rule to have "multiple accounts" which is NOT what she was trying to achieve. She was trying to protect her privacy, the reasons for that don't matter here, but she says she has explained all that in her numerous emails to "someone" since the ban happened. She says she's being completely ignored.
As another poster noted, she's been a member here since 2014. I think she joined the game pretty early on as well. She says she is particularly mad because no one even bothered to contact her first or ask what was going on. Just. Banned. And no one is paying any attention to her efforts to explain the mistake and help her correct it.
So, she wanted everyone here to know what happened - maybe someone can help? And she wanted me to say "thank you" for her for those who offered kind words and/or sympathy. I hope this post stays up long enough for you to see it! I'm not really a forum person, so it won't really matter if I get banned for helping her, but I do hope someone gets to see it. I think she was treated really unfairly.
