I have an idea to encourage more donations from teammates.
Why not implement an incentive whereby if you donate troops and they are then used in a raid, you get a percentage of the income from that raid?
Doesn't need to be a big percentage, just enough to incentivize players to donate more frequently.

Hard on the programmers? I could code that with less than 2 months of experience in a high school course. Here's basically all that needs to be done in words (if donated troops are used in battle, give donator 5% of profits) The gold elixer and dark elixer would then obviously be a variable that you would put in, and bam suddenly you've made money. It sounds as easy as it is, unless of course the people who are paid to code don't know how to code.Quote:

What about the loop hole of going from clan to clan and donating troops as rapidly as possible?
Doesn't seem hard to compute. There is likely already a table that keeps track of what is in your clan castle (type of troop). Instead, just map to row (type of troop, ID of user).Quote:

The problem I see here is that you don't necessarily incentivize what is being asked for. Many people want archers, which are cheap, yet I could see people giving giants or healers because the donation benefits them even more. When you request a donation, you have no control over what is being donated other than good faith.
Wow, didn't even know that incentivize was a word 'till now... thought you guys were just making it up. Huh.
Maybe when you ask for troops, you could tap on something that allows you to choose, "if archers are donated, they will receive 2%, anything else will receive 1%". And the loot percentage you receive doesn't necessarily have to correlate to housing space of troops received, either.
Since the beginning I didn't like the idea of donations to teammates, just for the fact it's very ♥♥♥♥♥ sensitive, it's also unnecessary. Playing to gain resources & build your own town is the big idea behind Clash of Clans. If we get a donation option of let's say.. 100k per day would still be 700k p/week and 2,8million p/month. I think this would damage the CoC economy.Quote:

The percentage doesn't have too be big, just a token to reward and encourage donating. To avoid people donating whatever they want, whether someone donates a dragon or an archer they get the same percentage. Say 5/25ths or 5/30's depending on the clan castle size.
Very smart and interesting idea. Good way to get more people to donate!
