i totally understand... Just trying to help you survive the week.
Themed derbies... love them or hate them, the team knows the issues and hopefully will work toward making them better for all!

I got one on my opening board - cotton :)
I get 400 tasks but they are all the same. Each of them. No matter how often I delete them, the same 400 task appears again. Annoying. Won't end this derby. No fun at all.
Gosh...so much frustration with this and the other themed derbies. Seems like most of the frustration is self-imposed. Get out of the mind-set of only doing max point tasks. It's just one derby, you can go back to the simple 320-only next derby. Themed derbies take a different strategy. SC lets everyone know which tasks will be higher points before the derby starts. It's not a surprise. We also all know how long crops take to grow and items to be produced. Seems like simple maths to me to be able to determine how many long crops I can do, etc.
No it's not a surprise but when the game doesnt work proper it is!
We know about strategy and can do the math too lol.
But when they say we get a themed derby with also 400 point tasks and not 1 shows up people get frustrated yes.
They fixed it but it still doesnt work for everyone so its not fair to the ones who trying their best and nothing shows up.
People who are competitive and love the derby.
Most of the frustration is coming from human beings. Personally, I would not turn to be a harvesting robot, a fishing robot, a juice presser robot, etc. even for a week, if SC thinks that will bring me out of my comfort zone being a memorable and highly rewarded derby challenge compared to 'normal weeks'. I need my freedom to be able to choose a tasks fitting my abilities for the time I spend on playing this game. I cannot be hooked easily, ok.
And, I think many of us trying to find a strategy to be the best in the discipline called derby. I would not mind skipping the process of finding a strategy for how to be the least worst in this blind race, as it is now. Best and least worst are not quite the same in my book.
Being a stubborn and dedicated HD player I still need to be positive and wish you all
Happy farming
:) I was meaning all the frustration for ANY of the themed derbies. Not the glitch with this specific one. After the strawberry blow-up, you had to wonder about people and maths. There were a lot of complaints of 'i didn't get all my tasks done because my strawberry tasks took too long'.
I suppose I shouldn't have ranted about the ranting. LOL... After catching up on the forum after a few days away, between this sub-section and the derby/neighbourhood section, I guess all the complaining got to me & I had to complain too. I am one of the few who likes a theme derby, it breaks up the monotony of the regulars. So back to me happy farming and others back to their venting. Peace out!
Not only have the higher tasks dried up the daily dirt has an overwhelming supply of the same repeated crops for sale. Didn't SC learn from the last derby fiasco with strawberries??
I don't blame SC for this. I actually blame the players. I think this issue actually adds a fun aspect to the game. Like any commodity market, supply vs demand! As the supply goes up and the demand goes down, the sellers have to adjust their prices instead of always anticipating everything will sell at max value. At the start of the derby, there was still high demand and low supplies and you could offload the potatoes, sugar cane, and indigo at full price. But as the derby continued and more players took on these tasks increasing supply, the time it took to offload crops at max value began to take longer.
The fortunate thing is SC offers a dumping ground for these in terms of farm visitors. Since the farm visitors seem to be offering roughly 2x the default value of the crop, it might be better to offload crops there vs trying to push more of them into a high-supply, low-demand marketplace. Personally, I scoop up the lower priced goods and turn them into profit by selling to the visitors. So, I like it :)
Yeah! I think a lot of people assumed that they could do 10 of the high point tasks without any issues. I like them because it adds more strategy than "just do 10 x 320 point tasks" like a normal derby. Need to plan and try to choose the best task available for your current situation. I am reminding my team that we are about halfway through the derby, if they don't have about half of their tasks done, they need to check their strategy and adapt.
