layout editor much needed feature!!!!!!!!

So I've been hoping and praying that one day this would happen but after 5 years its still not a thing :( ...

Okay so the idea runs along the same lines as the "view walls" and "scout view" features do but rather makes the walls and buildings transparent and shows the ranges of the defense towers. (view tower ranges)

It would be so helpful! In so that you can keep an eye on what is in range of what towers and being safely protected.

Its great to show all the defence ranges in a single view.. hope we see soon my friend

I looked through the list of rules out ideas and I didn't see this one. Please copy and highlight the part of the sticky that lists this as ruled out. For what it's worth, I also thought it was ruled out, but I can't see that anything says that.

Other Buildings Related:
*Wizard Laboratory to create/upgrade wizard projectiles/spells
*Add a second laboratory or a second slot in current lab to do two researches at once
*Queue upgrades/builds
*Troop Armor Building. Research upgrades to troop armors/attack/speed, etc.
*Ability to turn on all def building radius circles at once to check coverage
*Trap/Explosives hut to upgrade/build bigger ones
* Lightning Rod to absorb lightning spell

I don't think so at all. Showing defense range is just adding white shaded translucence, to show them all just add them all. The outer-most boundary would be clear, that that's what is wanted. Areas of heavily overlapping ranges would be bright, criss-crossed with range perimeter lines, which would obscure the buildings, but that doesn't matter. And of course, it is just a Village Edit Mode option view, toggle it, ignore it if you don't care for it.
