Opinions on Changing "Servers"

Guys in my clan swear that if you change your language settings you change what your loot table is. So they'll go to Chinese for example and search with that as the language setting. I tried it but noticed that the only thing that changed was my global chat server. I still was seeing American bases (predominantly actually) in any language, and then I've seen Chinese (clan and player names at least) in English as well as French bases etc.

Does changing your language change your pool of bases? Thoughts? To me it doesn't seem to, but then again, these guys swear by it.

Changing servers for different bases for me works. Sometimes it takes me a lot of searches in english to find a good base then when i switch to another one i find a good raid instantly.

From what I understand, changing language to not give you a new base pool. However changing your language does restart your game, which does give you a new base pool, do to changing server. So, changing your language is equivalent to restarting your game (to get new base's).

I've heard about this countless times also, might just be a placebo effect.

It works, I try it and it works like a charm.

Why? It's just like changing global's, there is not advantage or disadvantage to doing it. You may end up with a server that's worse than the one you where already on.

Because the more people who know about it, the less profitable it becomes. The same thing happened to sub200. If you find a good way to make lots of resources, for God's sake, don't tell everyone else about it.

I tried it twice and if anything it was worse. Luck of the draw i guess

I find it works well, however it may just be mental thing

I think its like changing checkout lanes at the grocery store.

World clock is your friend, changing to a language where they predominantly are sleeping or have been asleep for a long time can be advantageous for collector farming.

This is what I suspected...

I have also heard this is how some players are getting around the kick off window for time spent on line. By changing the language it changes the time or something like that. Not sure if this is true just something i saw in a clan visit one day.

I would hope SC stored times using UTC rather than local time when doing these computations.

Hmm one way to resolve this issue, lets ask every Mano v Mano thread who was on what language?

I have thought the same but I actually just reckon they are all pulled together in to one big server
