Hello. I cannot seem to accumulate more than $250K. I am level 69 and I sell items, fulfill train village requests, boats, etc. I noticed that some of the upcoming production buildings cost more than $500K. What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Keep going, they are affordable but difficult.
You get most coin from selling stuff in the road side shop. The people who walk up to the farmhouse pay less than the shop - i send them away unless they want wheat (which I can buy for less than they pay)
If playing for experieñce stars rather than coin, then work the town and the truck.
Sometimes you may have to concentrate on blue stars, other times on coin.
Thank you for the advice!
I say invest in a large grove of trees and then sell off the fruit; thats how i made money. That and selling EVERYTHING other than tools. Just make sure you have saws/axes to chop them down.
Sell everything in your roadside shop for full price. Everything sells for full price (eventually). I put up a ton of wheat yesterday at full price and they all sold pretty fast! These days I can't even get full priced tofu dogs to stick around for very long!
You need to utilize 2x coin events to your advantage. Know your products value, and during 2x coin events you can often sell for prices higher than you can get for full price in your roadside shop.
The last 2x coin truck order event I added 900k coins. The last 2x coin visitor event I netted about 500k coins.
The truck order events are more so about how much stock you can keep (barn size/logistics). As the event goes on, you will find yourself tossing more tasks as your supply dwindles.
Visitor events are about working the newspaper.
Remember, unless there is a 2x coin event, any other method of selling off items other than selling items in your roadside shop, you are giving up coins in return for XP (unless jewelry truck orders - sometimes they are above full RSS value).
I have $11.5 million coins.
I would suggest making sure your machines are always making product, sell expensive fruits and those products in your market. Always keep your market stocked with goodies. Happy farming!
One more tip: If you see something in the paper not selling for full price (besides wheat) buy it and sell it in yours for full price.
Most of my tips have already been mentioned. Selling fruit is the best one. Don't worry about not having axes or saws, but if you notice you get more of one than the other, concentrate on items that use that tool. Eventually you will get enough and then you can cut down those trees or bushes later. Don't be afraid to ask your NH for axes or saws. If you have some higher level players, they will have more than they need but can't seem to part with them randomly.
Also the biggest culprit in my search for coins was my addiction to "shopping" I swear I was starting to get carpal tunnel with all the tapping and swiping I was doing looking for bargains, mainly BEM. Again, use your NH for trading those precious items. Unless it is really small, you will have at least one member who gets too many of one item and would love to trade with you for the item you get too many of.
Avoid buying decorations unless they are limited and you really really like them. Sooner or later you will have loads of money. I just bought some of the gaudy golden statues and I've been playing for way too long.
Good luck

You've received lots of good advice from some highly experience players.
I would like to add: I always have some fields and machines dedicated to items just for selling in my RSS. I concentrate on items that sell very quickly, though. As Raelet says, everything will sell at max price eventually. I just don't want to be forced to spend diamonds on extra slots in my RSS if stuff sticks around too long.
I frequently devote about half of my fields just to growing something like carrots or soybeans, and I'm almost always making bread, cotton cloth, and carrot juice. These items aren't very glamorous, but they are quick to grow/produce and very quick to sell.
Of course, it depends on how much time you can play during a given day. You might prefer to grow/make slower items if you have to be offline for long periods of time.
HTH and good luck!
I hardly ever buy in RSS, and only sell. Several million coin that way, no problem with buying machines. Grow what you need to make what you need. Resist shopping
Thaank you for everyone's great advice! This helps a lot.
If you can afford to hire Tom, even if it is for one day and send him to buy rings. I use the truck board, delete all orders and wait for the jewellery ones to come up. I also make jewellery to sell to the truck order board, again deleting the board until those orders come up. The town also is another place to sell jewellery, in the gift shop for a higher price usually than your RSS.
Here is some figures for you:
cost of 9 rings Tom 2324 coins
2 rings for truck order board - cost 516.44 coins
Just filled an order on the board for 2 rings 2800 (it can get as high as the 4000 mark. It seems to go up and then go down to an amount that is the same or less than the rss price) plus you get a voucher, sometimes a gold!
Profit 2283.56 coins
At level 69/70 you will receive 10 diamonds, as you also received diamonds for previous upgrades. Use these gems to hire Tom if you are not able to purchase diamonds :)
Good luck XD
Sell stuff! Lots of stuff. The expansion items like the stakes and stuff is highly priced at max amount. Trouble is, its hard to sell those cuz you would want to expand your land!
I made a ton of coins for my last machines by making and selling berry smoothies. I would put them up 2 at a time max price. I found 2 would sell quickly. Seemed anymore than that would stick around. And I kept all my machines going all the time. Don't get discouraged. You will get there quicker than you think!
How do people deal with keeping friends and followers happy whilst trying to make coin using RSS?
I don't have a huge number of friends/followers but I collected them in my travels and now feel guilty if I advertise because I only have limited barn space so it's either sell, or just put out in my shop for them to buy whenever they see it.
Thing is, some of the players I follow put up ex materials which is great for me because I mainly play by myself. So I feel like I owe them a thank you, in the only way I can.
So, how does everyone manage it?
Thank you everyone!
I sell items for full price unless it's for a neighbor or some junk I need to sell fast. I don't feel like I owe anything to friends and followers, especially now that both can remove me if they like. I do help boats an trees and leave nice rare items in my shop at night for those who happen to come by. No problems so far.
I typically don't advertise items until I have filled up my RSS and need to open up space for more items. Then advertise the items to clear it and fill it back up.
Stuff like crops can usually start to pile up. A majority of my friends/followers don't seem to need crops but they get picked up quickly once advertised.
In the end, you just have to do what works for how you play your game. Any way to give back helps. So, if you have to advertise once in a while I don't think anyone will get mad :)
