Hello. I cannot seem to accumulate more than $250K. I am level 69 and I sell items, fulfill train village requests, boats, etc. I noticed that some of the upcoming production buildings cost more than $500K. What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Keep going, they are affordable but difficult.
You get most coin from selling stuff in the road side shop. The people who walk up to the farmhouse pay less than the shop - i send them away unless they want wheat (which I can buy for less than they pay)
If playing for experieñce stars rather than coin, then work the town and the truck.
Sometimes you may have to concentrate on blue stars, other times on coin.
Thank you for the advice!
I say invest in a large grove of trees and then sell off the fruit; thats how i made money. That and selling EVERYTHING other than tools. Just make sure you have saws/axes to chop them down.
Sell everything in your roadside shop for full price. Everything sells for full price (eventually). I put up a ton of wheat yesterday at full price and they all sold pretty fast! These days I can't even get full priced tofu dogs to stick around for very long!
You need to utilize 2x coin events to your advantage. Know your products value, and during 2x coin events you can often sell for prices higher than you can get for full price in your roadside shop.
The last 2x coin truck order event I added 900k coins. The last 2x coin visitor event I netted about 500k coins.
The truck order events are more so about how much stock you can keep (barn size/logistics). As the event goes on, you will find yourself tossing more tasks as your supply dwindles.
Visitor events are about working the newspaper.
Remember, unless there is a 2x coin event, any other method of selling off items other than selling items in your roadside shop, you are giving up coins in return for XP (unless jewelry truck orders - sometimes they are above full RSS value).
I have $11.5 million coins.
I would suggest making sure your machines are always making product, sell expensive fruits and those products in your market. Always keep your market stocked with goodies. Happy farming!
One more tip: If you see something in the paper not selling for full price (besides wheat) buy it and sell it in yours for full price.
Most of my tips have already been mentioned. Selling fruit is the best one. Don't worry about not having axes or saws, but if you notice you get more of one than the other, concentrate on items that use that tool. Eventually you will get enough and then you can cut down those trees or bushes later. Don't be afraid to ask your NH for axes or saws. If you have some higher level players, they will have more than they need but can't seem to part with them randomly.
Also the biggest culprit in my search for coins was my addiction to "shopping" I swear I was starting to get carpal tunnel with all the tapping and swiping I was doing looking for bargains, mainly BEM. Again, use your NH for trading those precious items. Unless it is really small, you will have at least one member who gets too many of one item and would love to trade with you for the item you get too many of.
Avoid buying decorations unless they are limited and you really really like them. Sooner or later you will have loads of money. I just bought some of the gaudy golden statues and I've been playing for way too long.
Good luck

You've received lots of good advice from some highly experience players.
I would like to add: I always have some fields and machines dedicated to items just for selling in my RSS. I concentrate on items that sell very quickly, though. As Raelet says, everything will sell at max price eventually. I just don't want to be forced to spend diamonds on extra slots in my RSS if stuff sticks around too long.
I frequently devote about half of my fields just to growing something like carrots or soybeans, and I'm almost always making bread, cotton cloth, and carrot juice. These items aren't very glamorous, but they are quick to grow/produce and very quick to sell.
Of course, it depends on how much time you can play during a given day. You might prefer to grow/make slower items if you have to be offline for long periods of time.
HTH and good luck!
